Does anyone actually want it? Gets on my nerves. Just seems an excuse to send a gazillion new emails and being cynical I doubt there will be great discounts at all.

I live in the us and here Black Friday is just a one day sales event. It seems like in the UK they have adapted the idea and made it a month long thing, which sounds a bit over the top. I love having thanksgiving/Black Friday as it means Christmas stays where it belongs - in December.

BadLad · 21/11/2018 02:34

I love watching videos of Black Friday madness as people fight over TVs

QueenOfIce · 21/11/2018 03:23

I was looking at Pure Collection at a particular cashmere jumper last month but decided against it. Had a look at their Black Friday deal 25% off only to see that the jumper I wanted had been put up in price by £20 so not a 'deal' at all the cheeky bastards.

marylou1977 · 21/11/2018 04:31

American here. I wouldn’t go out shopping on Black Friday if my life depended on it. The huge crowds are very real, fights break out, people have been injured. I’ll use my computer to shop on Cyber Monday😜

NotACleverName · 21/11/2018 06:31

$150 off the price of a bollock is a great deal 😁

gamerwidow · 21/11/2018 06:34

It’s just sales though and if we’ve got to have it then I prefer it spread over a fortnight and online so at least people aren’t assaulting people for £10 off a TV.

Justgivemesomepeace · 21/11/2018 06:38

There are some great deals to be had if you plan what you want and just look for stuff you actually want. What's wrong with being able to save money? If you're not interested don't look. I can't understand this Confused
And no I dont think we Will be celebrating Thanksgiving at any point or losing our regional accent Confused

Unicyclethief · 21/11/2018 06:43

Why is the name racist busybarbara? Oh please please answer. This should be good.

Angrybird345 · 21/11/2018 07:01

Black Friday works in USA , not here. They gave decent bargains, not £15 of a £1000 tv.

The name isn’t racist ffs.

ShatnersBassoon · 21/11/2018 07:12

Roomba not bollock!!!

Real life laughing out loud at this! 😂

Jaxtellerswife · 21/11/2018 07:19

Racist 🤦🏻‍♀️
Got the bollock GrinGrin

clumsyduck · 21/11/2018 07:23

Grin proper LOL at buying a bollock . Amazing typo !

Well I like the deals same as others have said if it's stuff I was buying anyway , I always research the price of things I'm planning to buy for Christmas etc so if it ends up being cheaper then great ! Bought a few things this week on sale

I wouldn’t go out shopping on Black Friday if my life depended on it.

Same here for me usually. But I am visiting relatives in a small town for Thanksgiving, and this town has some nice shops, one of which has a jacket that I am lusting after. It will likely be reduced up to 50% Friday morning so I will be there bright and early. There's also a nice shoe store next door.
