How often do men fantasize?

Skybird · 18/11/2018 09:25

How often do you think men fantasize about other women?
Just that really. I'm guessing it's a lot. Do you think they share with their friends who they fantasize about? Or not since they fantasize so much?

I don’t know about men but I feel kind of weird having sexual fantasies about men other than my husband. I’ve tried to force it a few times just to see and quite frankly I just found it quite uncomfortable. I can’t evenhave sex dreams about other men. The actual sex gets skipped so I go from feeling really guilty about entertaining the idea to feelingreally guilty about do it. I think I might be inherently monogamous Confused

NotUmbongoUnchained · 18/11/2018 16:51

Even with Chris Hensworth Shock

Racecardriver · 18/11/2018 16:56

@NotUmbongoUnchained was that to me?

NotUmbongoUnchained · 18/11/2018 17:00

Yes! Even my husband fancies Chris Hensworth grin]

ChantillyLaceAverageFace · 18/11/2018 17:06

OP- why do you care? Is this just another way to bash men?

How often do you fantasise?

Racecardriver · 18/11/2018 17:11

@NotUmbungo I’m not actually sure who that is (name is familiar though-actor?) but I did try to fantasise about poldark actor once (admittedly I was cheating because he looks like an Irish version of my husband). Poor man didn’t get to finish. I felt horrible and had to stop really quickly. I can fantasise about other men taking a fancy to me, maybe kissing me once etc but really can’t entertain fantasies where I am complicit or that are sexually explicit (even when I try to create a fantasy with a caveat that I am single etc). I just end up feeling horrible and stop. It’s not even a moral thing, I just find it kind of repulsive.

Yoyooyo · 18/11/2018 17:16

I fantasize about women never men. But normally my partner's in the fantasy too. Wish I could tell him but don't know how he'd react. Once you share something like that you can't take it back.

Skybird · 18/11/2018 17:18

NoConfused nothing wrong with fantasizing women fantasize too. What a strange question.

ChantillyLaceAverageFace · 18/11/2018 17:26

Exactly...so I wondered why you specified men in your question? Considering most of us are women/mums, why not ask how often we fantasise?

Skybird · 18/11/2018 17:42

@ChantillyLaceAverageFace
Because I'm a womanConfused so I was more interested about men

OP posts:
ChantillyLaceAverageFace · 18/11/2018 17:45

Bizarre.

Sallystyle · 18/11/2018 18:05

I don't. If I see an attractive man I don't fantasise over having sex with him. I probably did as a teen but it isn't something I do now. My mind just doesn't go there.

I can't graphically imagine having sex with someone. Maybe if I was single and had a huge crush on someone it could happen, who knows.

I don't know about DH and don't want to know.

IcedPurple · 18/11/2018 18:11

I'd also say the demographic on calls was 20% and under 30(they prefer Internet stuff). The rest were white collar professionals 30-50.

Very curious to know how you know the age and professional status of the men who phone you to indulge in a kinky fantasy, and why you assume they are all telling you the truth.

Skybird · 18/11/2018 18:13

Bizarre @ChantillyLaceAverageFace you are indeed.

OP posts:
ChantillyLaceAverageFace · 18/11/2018 18:17

Yes...I am the bizarre one. I think you'll find, it's not me pondering on the sexual thoughts of strangers. Hmm

Skybird · 18/11/2018 18:20

ChantillyLaceAverageFace well yes you are because you are on this thread😂😂😂
You are bonkers 😂😂😂

Sky- it's a bloody good job I have MN on an email that I don't look at otherwise all your @ing me would be very irritating.
As you may have noticed, I didn't comment on how often men fantasise or what about (I'm not a man and I'm not interested) I was more bewildered at the question and the point of it.
You say you didn't ask the major demographic on here (women), because you are one. So, you are the benchmark? Therefore already aware of how the rest of womanhood think.

In answer to your OP, I doubt you will find an answer- as with women, men are all different.

Skybird · 18/11/2018 18:31

@ChantillyLaceAverageFace
Here have thisBiscuit while you fantasize

ChodeofChodeHall · 18/11/2018 18:31

I asked DH and he says never. He's Aspergers though!

ShatnersWig · 18/11/2018 18:50

44 year old single man here. I very seldom fantasise and have always been that way.

Goldrain · 19/11/2018 17:36

Apparently men think of sex every 6 seconds.

AGHHHH · 19/11/2018 17:42

:s there isn't a set number. All men are different you know? And a lot of men fantasise about other men!

CSIblonde · 19/11/2018 17:50

Icedpurple
You get regulars who drop their fake name, (& they can get text alerts when you're on) and then they start wanting conversation as well. I had a very large regular group who wanted more than a w*. Or, they were single/divorced & lonely & a chat was all they wanted. (25% approx).

IcedPurple · 20/11/2018 09:15

Apparently men think of sex every 6 seconds.

This is nonsensical pseudo science. How could you possibly even measure such a thing?

KlutzyDraconequus · 20/11/2018 09:47

How could you possibly even measure such a thing?

It went something like this:
Researcher: "how often do you think about sex?"
Man 1: "ERM? Not often really"
Man 2: "pfft what are you? Gay? I think about sex at least 3 times a day"
Man 3: "that's nothing mate, I think about sex at least every hour"
Man 4: "sissy boys, I think about it every 20minutes"
Man 5: "you're all weak, I think about it every 5 minutes"
Man 6: "you bunch of no nut fairies, every 6 seconds me. The other times I'm thinking about fighting and fishing and beer"
All men together: "yeah and us cause we're hard ennit lads?"
Researcher: "yeah thanks for the input, I'll just sell this research to the Daily Sport, it'll be fine."
