To ask for pics of fringes you think look nice?

I'm in the hairdresser's now waiting for my app but I can't decide whether I want a proper straight across fringe (which I've never had) or to go with my old side parted diagonal (if that makes sense) fringe.

Not having much done to my hair, just a trim and maybe some layers for shape/movement.

I've got a long face and am still a bit fat of face so want to soften the edges of my face.

I was thinking of a modern Bardot fringe maybe.

My hair needs work before I leave the house. I can cope with sorting a fringe each morning, but can't be arsed with straightening the whole lot everyday.

Google blunt bangs Jessica Biel or blunt bangs Zoey Deschanel.

Also maybe “Korean Glass fringe”.

Also those are kinda why you might be undecided. Not a diagonal fringe but a bit softer than just a straight across one.

I'm going to have a 'french fringe' - www.telegraph.co.uk/beauty/hair/ooh-la-la-say-bonjour-french-fringe/

Nalaking · 19/11/2018 12:01

I think you’d suit a full fringe, I recently had mine cut back in and love it.

This is nice. Probably fairly low maintenance.

All three of your pics look lovely. They look like they’d need trimming pretty frequently as they’re quite long.

Will you post a picture afterwards? I’m going to be fringed next week.

And for some reason, despite never ever having had a centre parting, it has somehow bloody developed one on its own Hmm

Get more cut in. That looks stringy.

user1490465531 · 19/11/2018 13:31

I've got fine hair but still have a full fringe you need to make it fuller.

Eliza9917 · 19/11/2018 13:52

I asked her to but she said she's have to take it from too far back on my head.

peachgreen · 19/11/2018 13:59

hmm, I don't agree, it's quite a low fringe as it is, I think you could easily pull more forward to thicken it up.

peachgreen · 19/11/2018 14:00

Also if I had your gorgeous eyebrows I'd have my fringe shorter to show them off Envy

ShatnersWig · 19/11/2018 14:03

How about this one?

Hmm, those two look a bit samey.

Oh, FRINGE?? Wink

Forgotmycoat · 19/11/2018 14:06

@nalaking your hair is bloody amazing!!!! The cut, colour, length everything.

Op, a sideswept longer fringe would have looked better imo.

GemmeFatale · 19/11/2018 14:11

Might cut my fringe back in now.

I’m so easily led

Sallystyle · 19/11/2018 14:24

OP I think you need more cut in for sure. I am sorry, but it looks stringy and a fuller fringe would look much better.

But I love a full fringe and have a thick and heavy one.

SilentIsla · 19/11/2018 14:30

Only side swept fringes look nice on adults.

ChateauneufduTwat · 19/11/2018 14:38

Oh OP I don't want to sound harsh but that's not a good fringe imo.

It's just very thin, stringy and a bit greasy looking.

I'd go for a shorter, proper blunt fringe. Or if your hair is really too fine for that, then grow it out and be fringe-less.

Can't be doing with half-assed, wispy attempts. I'm firmly in the 'do it properly or don't bother' camp.

Eliza9917 · 19/11/2018 14:42

@ShatnersWig I want a new fridge!

Op, a sideswept longer fringe would have looked better imo.

That's what I normally have but grew it out and wanted a fringe cut back in so went for something different.

hmm, I don't agree, it's quite a low fringe as it is, I think you could easily pull more forward to thicken it up.

I normally end up taking scissors to my fringe anyway when I have one so might cut a bit more in. And TY, I fill my eyebrows in with powder.
