I am starting to see this with increasing frequency on MN. From what I gather, it means posh/expensive. I don't know how those who use it pronounce and for or some reason I find it incredibly irritating! AIBU?

YANBU. It irrationally annoys me when people use it.

It's like they're trying so hard to be part of the 'in' crowd and it's so cringey to read.

They just come across as a bit desperate to fit in.

I loved the elderly Korean lady thread...need to re-read that one!

I remember the poo one too but not how it ended.....wtf is a poo troll?! I don’t want to know and yet I do want to know.

As to ‘naice’ I’ve been on MN years and it’s never really bothered me, but the phrase ‘nom nom’ as mentioned upthread gives me rage.

I find the plethora of gender threads which seem to appear in droves every week more irritating to be honest.

I hardly see it now so unsure who these posters trying to part of the in crowd are.

Unlike the ones that write CF!!!!!! all over the place. Now that does make me cringe.

But it’s self deprecating, no? And therefore endearing an amusing - I really like it

Hate naice with a passion!!
(love penis beaker though)

mummyinmanchester · 14/11/2018 17:34

Poo troll - people who get off on reading about poo I think or posts fake posts about poo (someone correct me if I'm wrong!)

FrightsaidRed · 14/11/2018 19:57

They get off on it?! I’ve heard it all. Envy < not envy!
