It's children in need, so it's mufti day. Except it's not just mufti day, they have to wear something spotty. Well DD doesn't have any spotty clothes, neither does her brother. So I have a choice of going out and buying something she will never wear again, dragging the toddler and baby to the terrifying craft shop, full of delicate, breakable things to buy pom-poms that I can spend hours sewing to her clothes.

Or option 3. I send her in, in her miraculous

Yeah pudsey ears are always a good go to

Clutterbugsmum · 14/11/2018 12:50

I wish ours was doing spotty. My kids have to wear neon or vibrant colours.

Asda are doing Pudsey socks for £1. Not too pricey and you can wear them at other times of the year. Or the round stickers work. However, YANBU to think it's wrong to be forced into spending money on this.

Grow, only if he doesn’t bathe for a week!

Louiselouie0890 · 14/11/2018 13:55

Stickers, pens? Let them hVe fun drawing spots on some old clothes?

Growyourowndaisies · 14/11/2018 14:33

Reverse, I am very sorry that your school puts you through this too. I hope your children enjoy dressing up more than mine do.

DS is at least fairly clean even if he does need a haircut Ngaio. I just want him to go into school happy.

Our school has spots as it's theme.
I think the official
Theme is 'do your own thing' or similar.
So mix of the two - sporty ladybird - sounds ideal.

On Friday we will have a big mix of children in spots, random fancy dress, own clothes and uniform. Very few mind if it's what they've chosen to wear. Infact usually the only ones to kind are those who have forgotten - we normally try and rustle something up for them or cut out spots and use sellotape to fix to their school too, or have headdresses etc to make as a class task.

You just have the exact set of dress up days we do this week grow!

Spotty face with some makeup?
