To ask you 2 questions about your baby's hair...?

1. what was your baby's hair like when they were born?

2. what is it like now?

Very curious as me and DH both have thick curly black Afro hair and our 3 week old has straight blonde hair! Genetics eh!

My son had thick black hair when he was born. It fell out a couple of weeks later and now it is kind of a fine golden brown with a slight reddish tinge.

DD born with a shock of black straight hair like dad.

3 months later it fell out and came back tight mid blonde curls.

DS 1 thick black hair, dropped out and went nearly blonde, now very dark brown.
DS 2 thick dark brown hair, lightened slightly but now dark brown (not as dark as brothers)
DD full head of mid brown hair, now light brown with blonde bits around the front.

My DH & I have dark hair, mine is very dark.

DD didn't have hair when she was born. Or for about the first 18 months
It's starting to now and the longer and thicker it gets the curlier it is (I have very very curly hair). It's a mousy sort of brown that has a serious red tint when the light catches it.

I have dark, thick, afro hair, DH and his entire family have mousy/brown, thick, straight European hair. DS was pretty much bald til 9months. Now, nearly 2yrs, has cherubic blonde, ringlet curls. My DF had red curly hair though, so perhaps not so odd!

Jet black when born, started getting lighter brown at about a month, went properly ginger at around 6 months and now at 18 months it’s bright blonde. Didn’t seem to fall out, just changed colour!

DD1 bald with dark fuzz. No more hair until about 9 months but didn't really grow until 2. She now has thick dark brown wavy hair and LOADS of it! Age 11

DD2 bald and dark fuzz but grew blonde hair Which was wavy and quite thin. Now dark blonde/light brown mostly straight not fine but not think either. It's actually lush as it's all different like highlights. Age 9

DD3 bald grew blond hair right from start. Now has honey blond hair dead straight. Age 4

Dh has (had) v dark brown black loose curly/frizzy hair and lots of it!

I have chestnut brown fine but plentiful hair half curly, half straight!!

We were both fairer when babies.

Ds born with mousey red brown hair now has bright blonde hair age 6

My daughter had lots of wavy brown hair when she was born. Light blonde ringlets as a toddler. Bum-length dark blonde wavy hair now at 7.

My son had a small amount of light hair when he was born. Changed to white-blonde peach fuzz within a few months. Blonde toddler and now has straight dark hair.
