I've had a none moving sort of day, I've been snuggled under the duvet on the laptop and with a book, the news on mute in the background.

We've had a serious awful heartbreaking incident close to our house this morning so I've spent it snuggled up to my youngest DD over snuggling her feeling blessed and equally sad at the thought.

Tonight we're going to order a takeaway, choose a movie and snuggle down as a family with all our duvets and pillows downstairs.

Have a wonderful day what ever you do xx

went to work this morning and off to a rock nite in haworth its a fundraiser for Yorkshire Cat Rescue

JustDanceAddict · 10/11/2018 19:29

I went clothes shopping with teen DD after a greasy spoon brekkie! Came home around 4, put a wash on, tidied up a bit made dinner for all plus MIL. Now chilling (Dh dropped DD at babysitting, mil gone home).

Sorry about your news your day sounds lovely though! We had to go to get the car valleted as I spilt milk and it started to smell, went out first Christmas fayre, then spent the afternoon at the pub and just come home for movies and takeaway! Baby was asleep at pub so drank more than I usually would! (3 Shandy's but still feel so tipsy after months of no alcohol)

KTCluck · 10/11/2018 19:33

Contrary to the very productive morning and nice afternoon out we had planned DH and I have spent the majority of the day violently vomiting in a bowl while stuck on the loo (thankfully our bowels seemed to be out of sync) while poor DD has largely been stuck in front of the TV to put an end to her wandering round us exclaiming ‘oh dear’ and trying to peer down the toilet. When not being trapped in the bathroom I’ve mostly felt like the worst parent ever while gazing despairingly round the bomb site our has has become in a matter of hours. It’s been a joy Grin.

Thankfully we seem to be through the worst of it and touch wood no sign of DD starting yet (I’ve a feeling she was the culprit as she was a bit under the weather earlier in the week). Tomorrow will be much better, and the productive stuff can wait! Plus I appreciate that there are people who have had far worse days / weeks / lives than what we’ve had today so we’ve managed to suck it up. Trying to think of the pounds I’ll have just shifted.

Lie in this morning after a knackering day yesterday. Squidged two of the cats. Grabbed snacks and went off to the radio studio (I do community radio) to do a four hour sports show.

Currently watching Strictly while I wait for DP to get back from work. Will be cooking a stir fry and then not moving much!

RubyWho · 10/11/2018 19:57

Woke up, finished my book, sent DP out for coffees and breakfast, which I hoovered up. Then I slept on and off till about 4, came downstairs and slobbed on the sofa. I’m exhausted and having a self care day - I started a new job this week and I’m quite worried about it.
Tomorrow my DC are back from their dad’s and it’s all systems go. Might have a bath in a bit and listen to the audiobook of Rebecca which is my go to bath- listening.
Zzzzzzzzzzz

We’ve been into town picking up little bits for my DD. We had a lovely long lunch with friends, went to Regent’s Park for a little walk and then came home and have been cooking and cuddling baby.

I have a large glass of red and am looking at CVs trying to shortlist our nanny.

Babybearsporij · 10/11/2018 20:10

Was up ill in the night, so slept in a bit, although DH decided to come & join me once he fed the DC, so I ended up downstairs while he snoozed. Angry

Been on the sofa or in bed pretty much all day and DH also started feeling rough about lunchtime, so MIL came to take DC out.

DC watched TV when they got back while DH & I tried to die quietly & they've not long gone to bed.

DC1 said she felt icky before bed, so I'm guessing we'll be the house of poorly tomorrow.

mumof2sarah · 10/11/2018 20:20

There's such a mixture of things you've all done today. Those who haven't been well, I hope you start feeling better ASAP and manage to have a good nights sleep.

To everyone else sounds like the days have been wonderful. Lots of love x

We had our takeaway and slobbed on the couches watching a Christmas movie on demand from channel 5 and now DCs are in bed I'm slipping under the blankets myself. Want to get an early start tomorrow, do the jobs I've put off today then we're off out for the day. Take care everyone. Give your loved ones and especially the children an extra long hug xxx

Laundry and supermarket this afternoon.

Then takeaway curry and the telly. More telly to follow...

Not the most exciting day

Darkestnight · 10/11/2018 22:03

Just finished work and back in again tomorrow Confused

OpiningGambit · 10/11/2018 22:21

Had one of those mornings where you can't drag yourself awake, even though you've had enough sleep. Felt shit and woke up at 11:30. Prised myself from my sleepiness with tea.

Did a lot of sewing, watching Sabrina, did more sewing.

notsurewhatshappening · 11/11/2018 04:16

Got up at 7 with the kids, let rabbits out, cleaned the house and did laundry while DH took them to swimming lessons. Jacket potatoes for lunch. Had a nap while they watched a film. Horrendous soft play hell party with youngest while eldest played at a friend's house. Out for a drink with two good friends.

Rachelover40 · 11/11/2018 04:59

I got up for a drink of water and decided to look on here.

Hoping to go back to bed and sleep until 11am.
