To be disconcerted by finding a scantily clad young man in one of our beds

I came home this afternoon to what I believed to be an empty house. I went upstairs to eat a crafty bowl of icecream in bed. The spare bedroom door was open and a topless young man was in bed.
Aparently he is a friend of my sons. My son was out last night came home in the small hours. He talked to me at breakfast and make some brownies then caught a train to go away for the weekend.
I just talked to him. He says the other guy has left his car in a car park but cant go home yet as he is still over the limit.

Mine have all left home now. I really miss waking up to random bodies on the sofa.

I came home this afternoon - is OPs opening line

She may have posted at 8pm but nothing suggested he was still there's then

Oh yes MrsTommyBanksthose were the days,eh?

Now they're mostly scattered world wide, including kiddo, but when they return back here to visit their own families, they invariably call in to see me, parading their own children like daddy ducks proudly leading their broodsSmile and when the word got round that I had BC the emails/cards/etc. were cheering to receive.

Oh who knows. I read the fact that “he can’t go home yet” to mean he still couldn’t go home at 8pm. No big deal though
