My one can pinpoint my age almost exactly...... it’s A-ha at the Royal Albert Hall.

Take That in the mid 90s. I was in love with every single one of them in a different way. Blush

Duran Duran. Leeds Queens Hall 1982. The start of my teenage John Taylor obsession 😀

Spice Girls 1998

The Rolling Stones at the Gaumont in Hanley in 1964, with my first boyfriend. I think Charles and Inez Fox were the warm up act.

Last concert I went to was to see A-Ha's last farewell performance in Bergen in 2016, and before that, another A-Ha last farewell performance in Oslo, and before that, erm an A-Ha farewell performance in London. Seems like they have said farewell a few times now, but are still good IMO.

U2 touring The Joshua Tree Wembley 1987.

Ooohyeeaah · 09/11/2018 23:34

East 17. I remember I wore camouflage army trousers and a men's xl sized Chicago bulls t shirt. I was 11. Fucks sake.

Dogdogcat · 09/11/2018 23:38

Peter Gabriel, it was probably 83 or 84. It was an outdoor concert in Montreal and was rained out, so he didn't finish the set.

Bicnod · 09/11/2018 23:40

The Pogues when I was 14, so '92 ish

Siouxie and the Banshee, Brighton Centre 1984. We missed the last train home, and ended up sleeping in a shop doorway overnight. I wore a long raw silk dress that I made and dyed black and purple.
The next one was The Clash at Brixton academy. I wore white flannel trousers, (that I'd made myself and printed blue birds down one leg)and my period started on the train home...
I must have looked a right state when I was a teenager!

MrsTommyBanks · 09/11/2018 23:59

@MegBusset I watched that from my window with my friend.

Jenje · 09/11/2018 23:59

Only 3 weeks until we see them again in the same place!

Showaddywaddy for me too. (I'm very pleased to see I'm not the only Goldie Oldie here 😊).

timtam23 · 10/11/2018 00:40

I think it was a band called Kitchens of Distinction, in Camden in 1988 or 89? I was very unpopular with my parents that night because we missed the last train back south of the river and I sneaked back in at about 1.30am on a school night (my parents were pretty strict about curfews compared to some of my friends' parents).

LoveManyTrustfew · 10/11/2018 00:52

U2 in the local school hall, for 50p

Joe Mc G*e told them they were shite and would never amount to anything.....

In his defence they were utter shite....Grin

They were so local, that Larry Mullen Jr and I used to chat in the local mini mart and his father was my optician.
