am I eating too much?

I've been flicking though some threads and am slightly concerned I'm eating too much fruit!

I eat 2-3 peices a day. 90% of the time fresh. Otherwise tried or tinned.

Veg wise I'll be anywhere between 4-8 portions. Depending on what meals I'm having.

Do I need to cut down on the yummy fruit. Too much sugar?

Your thread is straightforwardly bizarre. Surely you can see it's fine to have two pieces of fruit daily?

At one point in my life I only ate raw carrots. And then I couldn't eat them due to the sugar content (I have rabbits, rabbits shouldn't have too many carrots due to sugar and getting fat).

That my friend, is bizarre.

I think @Purpledaisies comments were quite insightful. I thought this was going to be a thread about someone who has, this morning, already eaten two bacon rolls, a packet of popcorn and is currently eyeing a packet of crisps . not me!

Not someone who's gorged themselves on 2 portions of fruit.

Don't take diet or legal advice from MN, OP. That way lies the road to hell. Smile

You can eat different things than your rabbit, though? No requirement to share a diet.

Between this and the delivery guy pooing thread, I'm rolling around on the sofa in hysterics this morning! What's going on here?

As someone said early on in this this thread It’s quite common for posters with eating disorders to ask for reassurance that their diet is healthy when it isn’t meeting their body’s basic requirements. Yours reads a bit like one of those.

And it still does.

PurpleDaisies · 03/11/2018 11:51

Did you miss the op had an eating disorder? Anorexia is no laughing matter.

Growingboys · 03/11/2018 11:54

if this is all you have to worry about I'd say you have a pretty charmed life tbh

Fresta · 03/11/2018 11:56

Fruit is a great source of vitamin C- it's relatively low in sugar and the sugar in it is not processed and is combined with the fibre of the fruit so not as readily available to the body as processed sugar. As long as you are not eating excessive amounts it's fine- 2-3 portions a day sounds normal to me!
Look how much our closest relative the chimp eats- their diet mainly consists of fruit and they are fine!

Feefeetrixabelle · 03/11/2018 11:59

inertpotato you must have misunderstood. The poster was seeking advice from people to help her manage her diet as she knows her relationship with food is skewed. Not some ignorant condescending bitch to take the piss out of her.

Likewise growingboys dfod

What is going on is that you're experiencing a #readingfail. Stop rolling on the sofa, sit up straight and start paying attention to what you read.

@amicissimma

Thank you for your post. Food for thought indeed Smile

inertpotato what a nasty post, the OP has alluded to an ED, not a laughing matter at all. As for laughing 'hysterically' ..... Hmm

MrTrebus · 03/11/2018 17:35

Wtf is a persimmon

EdWinchester · 03/11/2018 17:40

I suspect this is actually a poncey fruit stealth boast.

A persimmon and a pomegranate?

Feefeetrixabelle · 03/11/2018 18:06

mrtrebus a persimmon looks like an orange tomato. Quite nice fruit but it’s like avocado in that you’ve got to eat it when perfectly ripe.

edwinchester or an op recovering from an eating disorder seeking advice.

EdWinchester · 03/11/2018 18:13

Sorry, I forgot to be terribly serious at all times. Hmm

Feefeetrixabelle · 03/11/2018 18:18

edwinchester I struggle to understand what kind of cockwomble would find an eating disorder funny.
