Delivery driver just had a dump at my house!

AIBU? I've just had some furniture delivered and the first thing the guy said was, 'Can I use your loo?' I didn't want him to but felt that I couldn't refuse so I reluctantly said yes. He was in there for ages. He's had a smelly dump. It fucking stinks. I could have cried. He then bought the furniture in and I've just had to go and clean the toilet. I'm disgusted.

Not without an implement with which to clean it. She needs a loo brush.

HairyArmpits · 03/11/2018 08:15

I completely agree with you on this.

Sorry but I would be fuming if some random fucking stranger shat in my toilet.

Then again, I am an incredibly anal ( no pun intended) person who is a clean freak.

I also wouldn't dream in a million years of sitting on a public toilet seat ( shock horror!!) and by own standards am a fussy bitch with things like this.

Quite frankly I genuinely couldn't care less what anyone else thinks or does regarding things like this but strangers arses and sharing toilet seats just ain't my thang.

So, this is your issue, then? Nothing to be "fuming" about, just your own predisposition to extreme cleanliness getting in the way of recognising that shitting in a toilet is normal.

My house is immaculate. I like a clean home.

However, I don't want some random arse sharing my toilet seat. End of.

Sorry but I don't and that is completely my decision. It has fuck all to do with you or anyone else.

Oddly, it's only on Mn that most people think shitting anywhere and everywhere is perfectly acceptable.

In RL the people I know ( family/ friends/ work colleagues) all feel the same as me.

Thisreallyisafarce · 03/11/2018 08:40

HairyArmpits

Of course it's your house. I wouldn't expect you to let anyone use your toilet if you didn't want to, and haven't said it is anything to do with me. But no, it isn't only on MN. You are a self-confessed clean freak. Most people aren't. Most people do use public toilets. You are the exception here, not the rule.

Sparklingbrook · 03/11/2018 08:42

I can honestly say I have never discussed strangers using my toilet with family/friends or work colleagues. Grin

Limensoda · 03/11/2018 08:47

The poor bloke has no idea his poo is being discussed so thoroughly by lots of women on Mumsnet!
I'm guessing he would be really pleased, being a bloke, like!
#LegendShitter!

puzzledlady · 03/11/2018 08:49

HairyArmpits why are you actively discussing with your family/friends/work colleagues who can/cannot use your toilet??!?!?!??!! This is not normal.

LakieLady · 03/11/2018 08:53

On a positive note I'm so happy my furniture has arrived

Are you sure it hasn't been contaminated by poo fumes though? After all they stunk the house out...

undomesticgodde55 · 03/11/2018 09:00

🤣 funniest thread so far! I work on an ambulance, had needed a poo at a patients house before now knowing he's not going to hospital and knowing I'll have another patient straight after, had to wait for a few hours - always managed to hold it in to get to a more appropriate facility 🤣

I'm with the OP I would not be impressed at all. Don't ask for a refund though just move on it's not worth straining over 😂

AliceRR · 03/11/2018 09:08

I’m with OP and @hairyarmpits but this thread is quite entertaining

Madein1995 · 03/11/2018 09:10

Shitting in a toilet is misogynistic 😂😂 grow up! Seriously what a complete over reaction.

And how exactly was the poor man meant to clean after himself if you don't have a toilet brush? Ridiculous.

So OTT it's funny 😂 think op came here to get some reassurance and it's gone completely the other way. I suppose she thinks our replies are disgusting too

Quickerthanavicar · 03/11/2018 09:11

Crucify Him

Blackness78 · 03/11/2018 09:18

Please stop acting like your shit don't stink Grin

Blackness78 · 03/11/2018 09:23

Took a dump in my house and then he had his sandwiches

How very dare he use your loo, and then eat...the cheek of it!!😂

You're starting to irritate me...

PunkrockerGirl59 · 03/11/2018 09:29

I thought the OP was completely batshit. Then along came HairyArmpits ....

derxa · 03/11/2018 09:30

I also wouldn't dream in a million years of sitting on a public toilet seat ( shock horror!!) and by own standards am a fussy bitch with things like this. Do you ever travel any distance from your house? If so then this is impossible.

BackInRed · 03/11/2018 09:42

@WitsEnd2018

You should try disposable toilet brushes.
amzn.eu/d/7MtyQOZ

They're not as good as the Clorox ones available in the US but better then a manky toilet brush or cleaning it by hand.

spidey66 · 03/11/2018 10:04

@hairyarmpits How do you know your friends, family and colleagues don't allow others to use the loo? I usually talk about GBBO etc with my colleagues.

borderline11 · 03/11/2018 10:12

I’m afraid i find it hard to believe how many of you on here are perfectly happy to have a complete random stranger plonking their arse on your toilet seat to have a smelly toilet staining shit. Apart from all that why should you let someone you don’t know from Adam into your home. Hmm
Only on mumsnet. Grin

Gwenhwyfar · 03/11/2018 10:14

"Apart from all that why should you let someone you don’t know from Adam into your home. "

He was already in her home delivering furniture. If she doesn't want a stranger to deliver furniture then she has to go and get it herself doesn't she?

If someone's work brings them to my home, I wouldn't refuse them the use of the toilet. I treat people as I want to be treated. I've never had someone tell me I can't use their toilet and I wold think they were horrible people if they did that.

Cressida89 · 03/11/2018 10:15

I think what the "poor man" contingent are failing to recognise is that there isn't necessarily a "normal" when it comes to poo. There's every chance he's just a dirty beggar, and the idea that he was desperately searching for a toilet brush is pure fiction based on other people's obsession with toilet brushes! Plenty of people just don't shit in other people's toilets; that's their "normal".

Tbf Badcat666 yr use of a toilet brush sounds v civilised and I could possibly cope with that. What I couldn't rely on is a random delivery guy doing it properly. He might well leave the brush covered in shit for a toddler to grab... I know some people are asking "but what's the alternative for the poor man?" Well, I guess I live my life in the hope that random shitting men won't feature. So I don't cater for them.

I use the toilet paper/bleach method, and I guess my husband does too as our toilets are always clean.

We do judge based on our own standards, and since I would never do what the delivery driver did, I would be put out if he did it.

HairyArmpits · 03/11/2018 10:21

For those taking the piss snorting bitchily that someone is discussing with friends and family about shitting...

This happened to me last year. It was the gas man. He shat in my toilet but also broke wind loudly and frequently whilst walking around my home. I didn't put it on MN and instead
happened to share this with my friends and my family.

At work we had a female colleague who stank the toilet cubicles out every single morning going for a shit. The smell was like nothing on earth and actually made a pregnant female physically sick one day.
Colleagues were not impressed as it would stink the toilets out for hours and a colleague once described it as her " dropping her guts". Yes, we spoke about it.

I don't like it and wouldn't do it but clearly am in the minority ( and only on MN thankfully).

LaurieMarlow · 03/11/2018 10:24

However, I don't want some random arse sharing my toilet seat

Sure you have the right, but to deny someone the facilities for a basic bodily function makes you very unkind in my eyes. A decent person wouldn't do that.

borderline11 · 03/11/2018 10:26

@Hairyarmpits He certainly was the Gas man Grin
