To wonder where they all keep coming from (Halloween related)

Lighthearted. This is our second Halloween in our house and last year I guessed I would need maybe 30 bags for Halloween so I made 50 just in case. We were out in about an hour. DH put a few more together on the night. This year I did about 110 and we're out again! Where will it end! How many will I do next year? Should I start making them now?!?

I want a chocolate bottom Grin

@KnittingOnEmpty no. I don't really. I made them in one evening about a month ago and then got on with my life. Not required at all and I know that. I remember trick or treating when I was little and the lady that put a little bag together with a sausage roll was my absolute favourite!

Oh I love treat bags, I like to make those or give full size candy bars because those were my favourite things to get trick or treating as a child.

I brought our pumpkin in after giving out over 160 bags of Haribo Confused it was relentless between 5pm - 7.30pm. I did actually see groups of people arriving in cars! Never seen that before. Loads of older teens with no manners too - just walking up the path in silence, grabbing the sweets from 4yr old DD who likes to give them out, and walking off without a word....spoils it a bit really.

Marmite27 · 31/10/2018 21:12

We usually spend about £30 on haribo and chocolate.

Most years it all goes, apart from the very wet year when we were still eating it at Easter.

Deadringer · 31/10/2018 21:18

Its very quiet here this year. I usually make up about 50 bags, with a couple of mini packs of haribo and a lolly in each. I am trying to reduce plastic waste so just gave a couple of mini packs of haribos to each child but only had about 20 kids this year.

Do you live in Yorkshire, OP? I think I might live on your road!

ileclerc · 31/10/2018 21:24

The fact you have sweet cones will spread like wildfire they'll all be at your door.

We got through a box of hair I and the some little fuckwits actually stole dcs pumpkins. Fuckers. Put me in a bad mood so stopped opening the door.

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 31/10/2018 21:41

@JustPurple nope, not Yorkshire, near Glasgow.
