AIBU to be sick fed up of being faced with these childish drawings, they draw them in each other's notebooks, on notes left on desk etc. Just why?!!

OP posts:

They need to grow up. Mind you, there is apart of me that finds this story a bit funny. Sorry, MeDented

cryhardandswim · 30/10/2018 18:26

A part, even, not apart

Near me, someone has been spray painting cocks on the bus shelters. Perhaps October is Be a Dick and Draw Dicks Month or something

Charley50 · 30/10/2018 18:30

Sorry but my main doodle when in meetings is abstract vaginas.

chicken75 · 30/10/2018 18:32

I work in a warehouse full of men and yes the younger ones do this. If I remark on it then apparently it's a rocket Hmm

ForalltheSaints · 30/10/2018 18:37

OP should not refer to them as grown men, just men.

ferntwist · 30/10/2018 18:44

Wow, some really surprising comments here. Some of you sound like bullies

ferntwist · 30/10/2018 18:46

It’s just would not be okay to draw penises spunking or any other crude graffiti anywhere I’ve ever worked. Guess I’m just not one of the cool girls

Stripybeachbag · 30/10/2018 18:57

This. I don't care if I come across (ho ho!) as a prude and uncool. Actually some of these hilarious examples seem really unpleasant and quite disturbing. Thank God I don't have to see that at work.

theworldistoosmall · 30/10/2018 18:58

Another reason why I love working for myself.
I can draw as many cocks as I want without anyone feeling intimidated, bullied or anything else.

They are pictures ffs. They aren't going to come at you. They aren't going to bother you, interact with you, harass you or anything else.

If you feel intimated or whatever then I strongly advice that you never step foot in an art gallery and a lot of museums.

SilverHairedCat · 30/10/2018 19:00

@FreddyFasbear that's not OK. The pubes and shit smearing. That's way beyond any joke or laugh.

chicken75 · 30/10/2018 19:06

I'm not speaking for anyone else but in my workplace it's definitely not intimidating or supposed to be. It's just daft lads. However, I'm not easily intimidated or embarrassed with this bunch but think some people could be so it's really not right in the work place.

Fairylea · 30/10/2018 19:10

We have a steam powered dick in our shower - dh drew it on the screen and now whenever anyone has a shower it re-emerges. Hmm

FreddyFasbear · 30/10/2018 19:32

@SilverHairedCat the shit spreader has been sacked thankfully! I still have no explanation for the pubes 🤷‍♀️ It’s a 98% male workforce if that has anything to do with it. The shit smearer was a vile excuse for a human being. In lots of ways 🤮

steppemum · 30/10/2018 19:35

cannot imagine anyone in a professional context thinking this is ok.

How old are they? 16?

I know it is just a laugh. Ha bloody ha.

No, not amused, grow up.

MyCarHasBrokenDownAgain · 30/10/2018 19:40

I still play 'Draw Something' with a couple of women from across the pond, and we all go out of our way to use a dick pic to illustrate whatever word we're drawing. Always gives me a right laugh - we've been doing it for years! And yes, I am old enough to know better - we all are Grin

steppemum · 30/10/2018 19:54

MyCar - that's not at work though is it?

MyCarHasBrokenDownAgain · 30/10/2018 20:12

Not usually Wink

Petitepamplemousse · 30/10/2018 20:13

Never seen this! Not from adults anyway. (Teacher.)

"Ask a psychoanalyst and they'll tell you it's obviously Freudian. "In psychoanalytic terms, castration is a core fear that everyone experiences, if not the core fear," Dr. Vanessa Sinclair told me over email when I posed the question to her. "The classical example taken from Freud is that the little boy sees that his mother does not have a penis and this traumatizes him. He then fears that the same thing can happen to him—that not only could he lose his penis, but that he could be exposed and everyone will see that he does not have one. It makes him feel vulnerable. He does not have the phallus—perhaps he never did—and now everyone knows."

BerylStreep · 31/10/2018 16:58

They used to be drawn inside police caps. Hilaire until someone has to deliver a sensitive message, take off their hat and there's a giant cock and balls in it. So Professional.

Tartyflette · 31/10/2018 17:10

Well, you see them everywhere, of course, including snow dicks in the winter instead of snowmen these days.
But I never saw any drawn on notebooks, pieces of paper, walls etc at work. It would be seen as highly unprofessional at the very least. (newsroom - male dominated of course )

AmIRightOrAMeringue · 31/10/2018 17:11

Self portrait!!

Lethaldrizzle · 31/10/2018 17:22

I like penises (quite alot!) but think drawings of them are pretty gross and completely inappropriate in the work place.
