AIBU to like a 'crunchy' duvet

DH and I have decided we want a new duvet for winter.

Been to a few shops and had a look but they all have a really soft/cottony feel to them.

Own current duvet has an almost crunchy sound to it when snuggle down. I like my duvet to be really heavy and kind of associate the 'crunchy' sound to being cosy now.

Any suggestions of what duvets you use? I'm not bothered whether it's natural fibres or man made I just really want a crunchy duvet!!!!!!

Goose feather and down all the way here for a lovely, rustly, thick duvet.

Yes, our wool one stays on all year round as its so good at regulating the temperature. It keeps me (usually boiling) and DH (usually freezing) both comfortable whatever the weather. And dont get me started on Devon Duvets wool mattress topper. That is truly a thing of wonder.

@iliketomoveitmoveitMOVEIT I hate soft towels! Scratchy ones dry you off better!

We found a duvet! 15tog Dorma full forever from Dunelm Mill.
Thick, heavy, warm and most importantly .......CRUNCHY!

Thank you for all your suggestions

OP if you want to go the whole hog, Dunelm also do crunchy pillows Grin we got some recently and they are fab.

Enjoy your new duvet!!

You do know the cruelty involved in getting the feathers for these duvets don't you? It's barbaric. Please buy the 'like-down' versions instead.

I see someone has mentioned Baavet wool duvets already. People (including me) get quite evangelical about them. They truly are amazing. We've got a mediumweight one, and it was cooler in the summer we've just had than our previous summer-weight 4 tog feather duvet. It's the way it regulates temperature. I used to get quite sweaty under the old duvet, especially at certain times of the month. Rarely happens now. Love it. I like the bedroom quite cold, often without hearing even in winter (we sleep in a loft conversion). But it keeps me warm!

It's probably not that crunchy, though!
