I’ve NC because I’m on here a lot and don’t want my new interestingly named group to out me Grin

I’m looking at starting up a knitting/crochet/craft group that meets in a pub and hopefully gets their drink on whilst doing our sexy stitchy thing.

There are so, sooooo many excellent knitting puns as names for groups but I just can’t quite make anything work Blush

Can any of you wonderful MNetters help please? Rude/innuendo/sweary names all welcome!

Knit, knot, sew

MrsMonkeyBear · 27/10/2018 14:01

I'd be there in a heartbeat. I love knitting and beer.

I've got

Yarn of Ale
Crafty Beers
The Sipped Stitch.
Hooks, Twine and Drinkers

Knits of the Round Table
(Even better if you actually have a round table?!)

Cuddlykitten123 · 27/10/2018 14:43

Wine and twine

SoupDragon · 27/10/2018 14:46

Pesonally, I would be put off if the name specifically mentioned knitting as I only crochet. If you really want to include different crafts, I'd pick a more generic name.

SoupDragon · 27/10/2018 14:48

My fantasy crochet group is the Hotel Crochetfornia though.

YessicaHaircut · 27/10/2018 14:56

The Knights who say Knit

SilverySurfer · 27/10/2018 15:20

KurriKurri · 27/10/2018 16:01

When the Knit hits the Can
The Cast Offs
UnWind
Needles and Gins
It's a Stitch Up

Knitters of the round table?

EllenJanesthickerknickers · 27/10/2018 16:07

Ours was just called Yarn so any craft with a lot of chatting.

DuggeesWooOOooggle · 27/10/2018 17:55

Craft and Craic is great - all encompassing. Like SoupDragon I am a crocheter so whenever I see knitting related titles I do think 'what about the crocheters'!

SoupDragon · 27/10/2018 18:07

Craic only really works if it is a common word in your area.

It's difficult to pick a name that doesn't risk alienating ^someone* I guess.

SoupDragon · 27/10/2018 18:08

I was thinking Crafty Buggers but that might alienate anyone who doesn't like slightly bad language.

Dodie66 · 27/10/2018 18:11

Knit and yarn or knit and hook if you want to include crocheters

Weedsnseeds1 · 27/10/2018 18:15

Purls Before Wine

monkeysox · 27/10/2018 18:18

Wooly whatnots

DuggeesWooOOooggle · 27/10/2018 18:21

I dunno Soup don't most people understand what Craic means? I'm in Yorkshire so not Celtic at all but I think it would probably be understood by most folks.

Definitely up for Hotel Crochetfornia though - sounds like the most amazing crochet retreat Grin

SoupDragon · 27/10/2018 19:05

Yeah, but I'd think it a bit odd in, say, a South London suburban pub.

AlphaBravo · 27/10/2018 19:09

'Knit one Swear one'

AlphaBravo · 27/10/2018 19:12
