I’ve NC because I’m on here a lot and don’t want my new interestingly named group to out me Grin

I’m looking at starting up a knitting/crochet/craft group that meets in a pub and hopefully gets their drink on whilst doing our sexy stitchy thing.

There are so, sooooo many excellent knitting puns as names for groups but I just can’t quite make anything work Blush

Can any of you wonderful MNetters help please? Rude/innuendo/sweary names all welcome!

Craft and quaff is wonderful, exactly what I’m aiming for

I am genuinely a wild woolly woman just can’t be arsed to shaveso that’s a possible

I can’t keep up but these are all brilliant! Thank you so much!

Depending on how much alcohol you’re intending to consume: Knit one, hurl one

Helenluvsrob · 26/10/2018 22:38

Knitting with balls ... that’s us.
We are a ballsy sweary not entirely female group. We are as fr from a “ knit and natter” as you could imagine.
In the whole we either drink alcohol and put the world to rights, or we knit / crochet/ spin and drink coffee.
Alcohol + yarn seems to lead to bad things happening 😂

These are so good thank you! I just had a small thought, I’d be extremely happy to have a “twinned” group where we shared your name but perhaps could have some really fun stuff like reciprocal retreats? Obvs thinking way into the future but I very much admire the Drunken Knitwits

Wool Meet Again

fluffypudcats · 26/10/2018 23:47

I love these but reading them as a group name, I'd assume it was only knitters allowed, apart from craft and quaff.

Knitmewithyourrhythmsticks · 26/10/2018 23:56

Thanks Fluffy I think knit/crochet/sewing and tbh any craft is usually welcome at these groups. I’m actually a crocheter (is that a word?!) but would assume I was welcome at a knitting group

Fur coat, no knitters.

IStandWithPosie · 27/10/2018 00:12

Shake your knits, it’s Friday 😂

diamantegal · 27/10/2018 00:16

Where are you all that this is a thing? I love the idea of lego and crochet but not knitting as it's the work of the devil in a pub every week

Can I come too please?!

IStandWithPosie · 27/10/2018 00:17

Me too diamantegal! We have nothing like this here. I couldn’t get to it anyway, maybe when DC are older.

Knitmewithyourrhythmsticks · 27/10/2018 10:03

Diamante all welcome! If you’re in the north of England let me know Grin

Thank you so much for these fabulous names, I will have a good look through over the weekend

GhouldaLovesLillies · 27/10/2018 12:27

diamantegal I'm in London.

The group started as a monthly meet-up for a bunch of re-enactors, who almost always had a hand-craft with them anyway. And then it spread to anyone who wanted to join us.

FlaviaAlbia · 27/10/2018 13:16

Oh, remembered another that's less knitting focused - Craft and craic
