AIBU to be really annoyed by this?

Went to Marwell Zoo today with my teenage son, who has had a really hard time recently. We were having a really fun day lots of laughing and joking. Walked into the tropical house and his glasses steamed up instantly, which made me laugh quite loudly- and I was shushed very loudly by a grandmother who was near the entrance with her family. At first I was a bit shocked by this, but then very quickly became really annoyed about it. Several times we passed her in the tropical house and I said very loudly to my son ooh don't talk too loudly or laugh you may get shushed. I had to bite my tongue not to say anything more rude.AIBU to get so annoyed by this and seething inside? Don't know if it's my age lol (45) but lately people just seem to annoy me more and more

It was a complete nonentity of a thread until someone mentioned the poor sloth who needs quiet, then it all became a bit clearer.

Why would you deliberately cause an innocent animal upset and discomfort when it can’t get away from you? Nice.

It’s definitely your age. My mum started acting like this at about your age. It was horrendously embarrassing for us as kids

My grandmother is 85 and wouldn’t dream of behaving so childishly. Neither would my 60 year old mother, 62 year old father... etc etc. They would also know to be quiet around animals in captivity.

Well that backfired OP. You thought we'd all be on your side.
