To want to put a mall TV and console in each child's room?

My 10 and 13 year old constantly argue about whose turn it is to use their console (each bought their own with birthday money) as they are both hooked up to one TV. We have a games room and one other TV in the lounge. I don't want a console hooked up to that. I have always been against TVs etc in bedrooms but OMG they are driving me insane. Time on devices would be regulated so they couldn't just scuttle away for hours. What are your thoughts on electronics in bedrooms?

I know it's an emotive topic and people have strong feelings about it. That's why I am after anecdotes and opinions. A WWYD situation. No need to start being insulting though. I just want to try and make up my mind what to do and reading about strangers' opinions and experiences are one way of helping me think it through.

Pants, I would absolutely love it if you came and called me a cunt to my face.

OP, as long as you parent well, and it really does sound as if you do, there's no reason as to why they can't both have a TV. Using the "moan and you lose it for a day" rule really does work, so stick to that and you'll be grand Smile
