To ask you to help me find a new mug?

My mug at work broke today. I want a new one and whilst I know I could just take one from home, I like having a ‘special’ one at work So that a cuppa feels like a bit of a treat.

Cheers!

I have found my people.

I have certain mugs for certain times of day. A cuppa in the wrong mug is useless.

For work I use an eCoffee bamboo cup, but at home I have two Emma Bridgewater- mornings and 4pm - some Harry Potter ones - middle of the day - Asda shaped ones - when you need a hug - and large Cath Kidston ones for soup. I also have three left of a set of six made by a Potter who has stopped doing the bright blue glaze he used on them. They are twenty years old and I love them, but so scared of breaking them now that I try to use them less and less

I also love the Queens mugs, and they are so reasonable that you can buy as many as you like. My personal fave is this one. So very cheery!

There's a couple of mugs in my local charity shop. £15 each. Liberty. Hmm

This thread is both timely and a little bit too soon for me as my most beloved mug just broke and I'm actually a bit bereft. It was from Niagara Falls and had moose on it. Perfect size and Weight and I loved it. I've trawled then internet for the same mug but it doesn't exist. 😭
So far I'm struggling to find anything to touch it. I will try some of these suggestions...

OMG at the Herdy(ie?) ones! 😍

Le creuset or Emma Bridgewater. Both very satisfying to hold.

God bless you for looking... but that's not him... he had lots of miniature moose on him in silhouette (and one on the bottom of the inside)... im aware I need to get over this

TheLastNigel · 30/10/2018 08:49

And also stop referring to a mug as 'him'

onalongsabbatical · 30/10/2018 08:54

You'll get over him (it's fine Grin ) by falling in love with a new mug, IMHO.

hypnotizzz · 30/10/2018 09:04

It's a bit small, which is great if you're constantly putting the kettle on.

My colleague has a blue mug with roosters on it.. the writing says "What a bunch of cocks!" Very fitting for work, I think Grin
