I wonder how differently she will be treated compared to ant mcpartlin

The level of vitriol towards Ant Mc Partlin - not only on this forum - was horrendous.

And KP also gets a lot of negative comments>

Personally I wouldn't want to face either of their addictions, and certainly not in the public eye with a load of narrow minded bigots chewing it over

This women has needed help for s long time. I feel sorry for her

Villanellesproudmum · 10/10/2018 16:39

If it’s a second drink drive offence she could receive a custodial sentence.

MrsStrowman · 10/10/2018 16:43

I didn't feel sorry for Ant and I don't feel sorry for her. I do feel sorry for her children, I know some of them spend time with their dads, but who is looking after poor Harvey? Her mum used to but she is now seriously ill.

MrsStrowman · 10/10/2018 16:46

The service users I work with have almost unanimously had 'a rough time', they get no sympathy or leeway from the general public and they don't have the resources for private health care, therapy and treatment.

Bobbybear10 · 10/10/2018 16:51

I want to be her friend. She honestly seems like she needs a hug, unconditional friendship and a bloody good talking to.

I really feel for her, the people around her just seem to land her in the shit or disappear as soon as she goes through her latest rough patch, But we only know what the press wants to portray. She might be a horrible cow or a lovely misunderstood person. None of us really know who she is and it seems very much like she doesn’t either.

oksanas · 10/10/2018 16:53

I feel for her and her kids.

She's a car crash; literally and metaphorically. Drink driving is abhorrent and inexcusable.

Nicknacky · 10/10/2018 16:56

She could very possibly get a custodial sentence for this, it’s her second drink driving offence, she has other road traffic offences and has recently caught driving while disqualified. If she doesn’t get the jail this time then she will have no more chances.

beeefcake · 10/10/2018 17:10

I feel sorry for her. She needs help.

So true.

billysboy · 10/10/2018 17:24

live by the sword and die by the sword !

She loves the media when they help but gets the hump when she cant turn them off when things arent swinging as well

FordPrefect42 · 10/10/2018 17:27

If this was any random mother her children would be taken into care... how is she still allowed to look after Harvey? (He is blind and autistic and therefore vulnerable).

Redglitter · 10/10/2018 17:32

I know slagging PA is a favourite MN past time at times but say what you like about him at least his 2 children are in a happy safe environment. I feel so sorry for her younger children.

As PP said it's amazing she still has custody. Between her recent behaviour and the photos of her clatty house I'm sure SS would have stepped in non celeb cases

Queenofthedrivensnow · 10/10/2018 18:55

@Bobbybear10 yes and me. I think she copes incredibly well with a very high needs child

specialsubject · 10/10/2018 19:10

life ban before she kills someone who matters. And that does actually include her because she has kids who would no doubt be very upset if she dies.

Alcoholism is extremely difficult to fight but choosing not to drive is not part of that. Sympathy for mental illness but none at all for a potential killer.

I can almost see a situation where, if she was given a custodial sentence, or enforced rehab, PA would apply for some sort of guardianship of her other kids. Who else have they got? Her mum is sick, their dad is who knows where and doing what while all this goes on. They’d probably be better off with their siblings in a stable home, than with their bio parents in a bloody hell hole. Bit like Denise Richards did with Charlie Sheen’s twins.

WelcomeToShootingStars · 10/10/2018 20:19

I feel no sympathy whatsoever for anyone who gets behind the wheel when over the limit.

She needs locking up and her children need removing from her "care"

ilovegin112 · 10/10/2018 20:21

I think the younger 2 are living quite happily with their father, it’s Harvey that has the question mark over whose looking after him st the moment and who could carry on looking after him going forward, I presume her mums looking after him now if not her maybe he’s in respite

OP posts:
JenBarber · 10/10/2018 20:24

Boring publicity stunt.

Wish they'd think of something more original than rehab/marriage/drink driving.

Get eaten by an octopus or something. Be original!

Witchofwisteria · 10/10/2018 20:26

I think it's a bit different because:

  1. She's a mother with 5 kids who are depending on her.
  2. She's out partying and totally neglecting their needs, at least 4 have their dad's but fuck knows who is looking after poor Harvey.
  3. Ant had a drug problem, she isn't addicted to alcohol she's just a knob.
  4. She has already had a driving ban, plus countless points on her license.

Really not defending Ant because frankly I'm not a massive fan anyway but there's a lot of big reasons as to why these are completely different cases despite the identical offence.

Pissedoffdotcom · 10/10/2018 20:31

I have every sympathy for anybody suffering with issues in their lives. That sympathy wanes massively however when people use those issues as an excuse for putting other people at risk. Drink driving is absolutely disgusting & she clearly didn't give a shit about any potential consequences.

fredleighton · 10/10/2018 20:35

I agree with WelcometoShootingStars. She's a disgrace.

skyesayshi · 10/10/2018 20:42

She’s a disgrace and I hope they throw the book at her, however she clearly needs help and has done for some time.

She rushes from one man to another, moves them in within days, gets pregnant within months. She’s had more money than most of us will ever dream of and endless opportunities yet is practically bankrupt and a hopeless mother.

Her children are better off with their dads. She’s trying to relive her teenage Jordan days. She could afford a taxi. She’s just horrible.

She’s happily lived her life through the media so she can’t complain now.
