fgs. I am narked anyway today, but when I find his boxers hidden behind the door AGAIN, I am really p*** off. How hard is it for him to pick them up and put them in the washing bin?
Sometimes I just leave them there til a small collection builds, then chuck them on top of his computer.
Why should I have to pick them up?!?!?!?!
Rant over (for now).

Tell him if you find them on the floor again you will bin them. And do it. Keep on doing it till he has none left or learns a lesson.

NAB3 · 13/06/2007 15:50

You are not his mother. Tell him if he wants clean pants he needs to put them in the basket to be washed. Men do what they can get away with..

woopsadaisy · 13/06/2007 15:51

NO! you should wait until one of his friends/parents come over and leave them all on top of the toilet seat, so that when they need to go for a wee say
"oh, you must excuse dh's pants on the loo, he keeps forgetting to take them out of the bathroom, dont worry, he only wears them for 2 days in a row"

BigGitDad · 13/06/2007 15:51

I say hide them, mind you he might ned up wearing the same pair for a week or so!

ratfly · 13/06/2007 15:53

lol at whoopsa daisy! But hiding them is MUCH better!!!
Hope he leaves them out a gain tomorrow now!

Lilymaid · 13/06/2007 15:53

Yes you are unreasonable. Men are not sufficiently evolved to perform such feats. I know because DS2 leaves his clothes behind door and the washing bin is only on the other side of same door.

mylittlefreya · 13/06/2007 15:54

I'd find something amusing to do with them too. Hide them in his briefcase??

Anna8888 · 13/06/2007 15:54

Gross. Yuck.

But don't tell him that. You need to explain that you will find him so much more alluring if he isn't a lazy slob...

ratfly · 13/06/2007 15:55

but you see, he's so BUSY. And he's not a mindreader.
Maybe I am BU

If I hid them on top of the lawnmower, I could prove it's me who always cuts the grass

OP posts:
SoMuchToBits · 13/06/2007 15:56

Not at all unreasonable. However my dh, when he lived on his own, used to throw all his dirty washing on the floor, instead of putting it in the laundry basket, which was a matter of feet away from where the clothes landed. I have never understood it. He is better at this now he lives with me, but still leaves his shoes lying around the floor instead of putting them on the shoe rack, and often leaves dirty cups, plates etc in the living room, instead of bringing them back into the kitchen.

Lio · 13/06/2007 15:56

Aah, how sweet, he sounds just like my dh. Maybe he can come round for a play date one day? The bond will only be perfectly formed the day your dh almost puts his trousers in the laundry basket - mine folds them up and drapes them over the edge (why why why?).

IdrisTheDragon · 13/06/2007 15:57

At least everyone else has a DH who takes his pants out of his trousers first. Mine just leaves them inside his trousers. And then on the towel rail. Or on top of the washing basket...

woopsadaisy · 13/06/2007 15:57

ratfly

if your going to hide them, put them in his pillowcase

thats so rank its bound to teach him a lesson!

bobsyouruncle · 13/06/2007 15:58

I regularly rant to dh about not putting his dirty clothes in the washing basket, he leaves them all over the bedroom floor. I know I should leave them but the mess bugs me too much!! The ranting makes no difference.

IdrisTheDragon · 13/06/2007 15:58

And if I lost/hid the pants then he would just buy more I think.

ratfly · 13/06/2007 15:58

Lio - mine does that too. Or draped over the banister. Maybe it's a code.

OP posts:
MuminBrum · 13/06/2007 16:01

Thank goodness, I thought it was just mine. I find sweaty undercrackers neatly draped over the backs of the chairs round the dining table, over the banisters, over the hose of the hoover, on the newel post, etc etc.

mylittlefreya · 13/06/2007 16:01

I found a rucksack in the laundry basket today. I'm considering just washing it.

You could leave your knickers there too? Or would he not notice??

Does he have a briefcase? Put in there...

woopsadaisy · 13/06/2007 16:04

my dp leaves a trail when he gets in from works, it starts at the front door, and then winds up to the bedroom, but not before depositng an item in EVERY other room

woopsadaisy · 13/06/2007 16:05

oh! and can i add, that even though THEY leave their stuff everywhere, we are the ones who are supposed to know where everything is, and "wheres my blah blah t- shirt???"

on the bloody floor where you left it mate

ratfly · 13/06/2007 16:07

i could put them in his work laptop case. If he wasnt on his laptop ALL night.. He's bound to notice when he puts the laptop back.
funny isn't it - laptop nicely tidied away, ev erything else left where it falls...

OP posts:
kslatts · 13/06/2007 16:09

YANBU, I would just refuse to wash anything that is not in the washing bin, maybe if he runs out of clean boxer shorts he will start putting them in the washing bin.
