fgs. I am narked anyway today, but when I find his boxers hidden behind the door AGAIN, I am really p*** off. How hard is it for him to pick them up and put them in the washing bin?
Sometimes I just leave them there til a small collection builds, then chuck them on top of his computer.
Why should I have to pick them up?!?!?!?!
Rant over (for now).

Mine's started a new one this year, since the onset of his hayfever I'm finding used, crumpled up tissues EVERYWHERE on MY bedside table, on the kitchen surfaces, on top of the piano, on the mantlepiece, ...

fizzbuzz · 13/06/2007 21:03

Muminbrum.....that is awful. Feel ill now!!

MuminBrum · 13/06/2007 21:18

It's gross, isn't it? Hope he doesn't come on here and find out what I've been telling you!

gingerninja · 13/06/2007 21:25

Why not fold all these dirty pants and clothes and put them back in their draws. Obviously you didn't realise they were for the wash basket as they were on the floor. (I realise this wouldn't work for some of you who's DP/H have a more erm, long term relationship with their undies.

Toady · 13/06/2007 21:31

DH still in bath, just been up and yes pants and socks are in middle of the floor

sugarfree · 13/06/2007 22:07

Sheesh! Why are you worried how long they wear their undies for.Honestly,it's no wonder they act like babies when that's how you treat them.

MuminBrum · 13/06/2007 22:07

LOL at "long term relationship with undies"!

sugarfree · 13/06/2007 22:08

and Ginger why on god's green earth would I pick his up and fold them???!!!!

MuminBrum · 13/06/2007 22:09

Honestly, Megglevache, I have no irritating habits whatsoever!

sugarfree · 13/06/2007 22:10

Or a used tampon on the edge of the bath.

fizzbuzz · 13/06/2007 22:11

Oh God...barf...... LOL LOL

gingerninja · 14/06/2007 10:02

I think Sugarfree, most men, (and I know I generalise) would still be stepping over their pants some ten years after discarding them so leaving them wouldn't work. If however they opened their draws to stinky grundies they may then realise that the pant fairy has gone on strike.

plummymummy · 14/06/2007 10:07

It wouldn't bother me. Toe nail clippings in the bath would.

raspberries · 14/06/2007 17:59

Glad it is not just my dh! I do try to leave them, but always crack first....

Bamzooki · 14/06/2007 18:29

I only ever wash what is in the basket, tho have yet to crack the inside out part (dd chief culprit). And smile sweetly when there is a desperate search for clean undies - and say something like 'have no idea - I've washed everything in the basket', and leave him with it. Mind you I do find the basket goes form empty (cos I've just done X loads) to full again in about 10 mins when he's had a tidy up. And yes the basket is approx 5 feet away from clothes drop zone.

I also don't put clothes away when ironed - but stacked in piles on the bed - if he puts them away, he knows what's there - at least that is the theory. He did once complain - why do you have to leave it all on the bed, the cupboard is just there? I think he got the message when I asked if he would like me to wear them for him as well.

Will be trying the suggestion of returning inside out clothes in the same state from now on tho....

dueat44 · 14/06/2007 20:13

Buy maggots from fishing shop then add to pile of festering undies; scream artistically when next in bathroom and insist he clears up. He will be more responsible about laundry bin in future.

Chirpygirl · 14/06/2007 20:20

DH and I have a new rule, there is a small 2 seater sofa in our room as it wouldn't fit anywhere else and I do not touch anything on there, it is for his clothes only. He washes his own stuff and is responsibale for making sure he has enough clean clothes.

On the odd occasion I pick his socks up from teh sitting room floor as otherwise DD plays with them (and they STINK!) and dump them on the stairs, or I put his clean washing on the stairs in a jumbled pile, but otherwise it is all him!

Oh, and I always 'accidentally' caught his pants with the shower so they are got wet and went manking if left for more than a few days, that taught him

MuminBrum · 14/06/2007 20:28

I am intrigued by the inside-out thing - why does it matter if clothes go into the dirty washing basket inside-out or right-way-round?

Elasticwoman · 14/06/2007 20:40

There are far, far worse sins a husband/partner can commit.

And he may have wonderful good points to make up for this character flaw. Can he lick his eyebrows, for example?
