AIBU to do this to cars parked in our private car park?

I've gone out armed with posters and a pritt stick, glued the "Private Property, do not park here" posters to their drivers side windscreen & left them to it - I'm not causing criminal damage, am I?

This used to piss me off to much when we lived in a flat and each flat had a space for 1 car. People used to park in the spaces and just walk off up the road, I did leave notes on cars and actually called a few people out on it if I saw them in the act.

nice one - love the pallets story as well

Ninjapig that is a fantastic story and a victory for all those poor parents that have to deal with lazy drivers that park in the child and parent spaces and then we have to park miles away just to be able to open the door to the car and get the children out their car seat. We then have to schlep across the car park with (in my case) 3 children carrying all sorts of nonsense x3 and fearing for the children's lives every time a car moves in the car park. I think we should adopt your approach when faced with this sort of selfish and thoughtless behaviour.

You are inspirational certainly not unreasonable!!

I know someone on a bike in London rode home from work via a shop for his supper, locked it to the bike rack, did a four bag Sainsbury's shop and came out to find someone had locked their bike into his! So he schlepped home on foot - raging, got his bike tools, went back and completely dismantled the other bike to get his out and then left the pieces! I thought that was too harsh! He was furious!

Parking where I live is a total nightmare I can’t even park on my drive because people park opposite so I cannot pull out without going back and forth half a dozen times
I bought special stickers from eBay that are a bitch to get off you need hot soapy water and your credit card to scrape it off and they still leave a nasty smear on the window
I then write various things on it depending on exactly what they are doing.
But stop parking like a cunt is my favourite

BitOutOfPractice · 05/10/2018 14:14

hungryhippo90 that really is arseholery of the highest order

Well done OP

"TheSONofa" - you are LEGEND!!

That is the sort of thing I would LOVE to do. Which is probably why I should never hold a licence for driving a forklift, towtruck or tank. Grin

Noloudnoises - definitely not too harsh - perfectly well deserved. Other arsehole then also had to walk home. Poetic!

My old boss parked in a restricted area at a hospital once. He gave me the job of removing the very large sticker that was put on his window*. It took forever to get it off with soapy water and a scraper.

*Door window not windscreen so the car was drivable with the window open.
