To ask what your Come Dine With Me menu would be?

Mine would be

Prawn saganaki
Chicken and lamb skewers with tzatziki and flatbreads, salad hummus etc
Desert would be something chocolatey maybe a brownie or one of those warm cookie dough desserts

Warmed goats 😂😂😂

-Homemade chicken and sweetcorn soup

• Stuffed duck fillets (cheese and veg) with a red wine jus)

• Banana and Mango cake

Still going round Bearfrills can you ensure it’s a chicken and mushroom pot noodle?

STARTER

Spiced butternut and carrot soup, served with home made morning rolls

Or

Individual baked Camembert served with red currant jelly served with sesame thins for dipping/scooping.

PALATE CLEANSER

Lime sorbet

MAIN

Glazed gammon for meat eaters (despite not having tasted meat myself for over 30 years I'm told this is delicious when I make it)

Walnut, cashew and cranberry nut roast for veggies

Sides:

Dauphinoise potatoes which I like to make with lots of garlic and herbs.

Roasted carrots

Tenderstem broccoli

DESSERT

Apple & Ginger crumble and custard (home made of course)

Or

Sicilian lemon and Madeira syllabus served with shortbread tail thins.

Coffee and home made tablet

I assume you do know what tablet is (fellow Scot?) for those who don't it's a very sweet (as in teeth itchingly sweet!) hard confection similar to fudge. Made with condensed milk, cream, butter and sugar and vanilla extract.

Am not Scottish, but first had some when I visited Edinburgh several years ago.

I was on CDWM and my menu was:

Rillettes of pork trotter, shoulder and belly
Ox cheek and prune stew
Apple and Calvados trifle

I won too!

I like to serve food that's pretty much cooked in advance so no stress on the night. In winter it would be:

Double baked cheese soufflé
Beef bourguignon with dauphinois and green beans
Chocolate tart

In summer:

Grilled peach burrata and prosciutto salad
Persian lamb with rice salad
Hazelnut chocolate and salted caramel pavlova

Now I'm hungry!!

Goats cheese, goats cheese, goats cheese! actually I bet warmed goats is pretty tasty anyway 😂

I go in a mood in Scotland if I'm not served a square of tablet with my coffee!
