To ask about your c section overhangs?

As in can you ever get rid of them?

I had twins by c section on 16/08/18. Stomach has now mostly gone down (although oddly jelly like, even when I’m lying down and it’s flat!) However I have a small, but noticeable overhang. Will it ever go away? Can they be shifted?

Stories (both good and bad) much appreciated please😊

My first c-section 5 years ago was an emergency but the scar was smallish and neat and the overhang wasn't too bad. My second 1 year ago was (sort of) planned and the scar is thick and ropey and long. The overhang is v bad. Imo it all depends on the surgeon. A different consultant examined my after my second section and was quite taken aback by the mess of me.

Really interested in what causes the overhang, especially as it doesn't seem to tally with weight/fitness of "owner".
I am not (and never have been) sylph-like. Size 18 now (wasn't always, weight has gone on evenly all over) but huge boobs and hips/thighs and still smallish waist (comparatively!)
I had my c-sections 11 and 7 years ago. I never had an apron. I was always curvy-hipped and flat-bellied though and neither of my pregnancies stuck out a lot in the forward direction. I wonder is it more to do with stretched skin than weight/fat distribution?

My baby is almost 1 and my overhang has pretty much disappeared, just got one very thin, neat scar also barely visible (thanks to fab surgeon)...took a while though, I'd say a good 6-8 months

I think it's due to stretched skin and bump shape in my case. I had an enormobump and v separated muscles but was slim everywhere else. My scar is invisible.

I don't think I have an overhang, I have a pouch, but it's the same as it was pre baby (but I'm a stone heavier) I have a very low scar though. Baby was 9lb and is almost 2, my bump was HUGE.

2 sections, 2011 and 2015. Still have a pouch despite weighing less than I did before first pregnancy. I just wear high waisted jeans!
