Visiting my nephew and want to buy him a gift. Anything around £50. He loves football but has tonnes of football memorabilia, obsessed with fortnite, loves maths, super brainy etc.

What is a safe bet for a gift for an 11 year old lad? Haven't seen him in a while as we live so far away so not sure what to get him! Help Confused

JD Sports Voucher, Xbox/Ps voucher.

I got my Ds an hour long driving experience. You can get 30 min one for about £35? They run in different areas. They’re suitable for 10-17 yo but have to be over a certain height.

If he doesn't have any nerf yet then the nerf n-strike disrupter is a very good gun to start with. Costs around a tenner so plenty money left to get him Fortnite money too.

Speaking as a mum of an 11yr old boy, how about science experiment type stuff (the messier the better!) or some sort of electrical circuits/building & programming robots set - you can get some fab stuff for around the £50 mark- my son had some for Christmas last year & loved it!

Does he like Lego?

Lego Boost if he does

Ignore my suggestion, just seen how much it is.

My similar-sounding son recently turned 12. He wanted trainers, football boots, footballs and cones, away kit, match of the day magazine subscription. All he does is play football or play fortnite (not allowed v bucks) or fifa, or read. Books are tricky though as he has so many and likes to read them in series so you’d need to know which ones. He does like some cool stationery - we bought him a big set of sharpies! It’s a difficult age to buy something random! He was into Lego but has less interest now.

My 11 Yr old would love fancy football boots (I buy cheap/sale ones) or sports kit (wetsuit, Rugby stuff) that would be 'cooler' than the functional stuff I buy.

He's still into Pokemon Go and wants a fluffy Pikachu onesie!

He also likes board games, he has mentioned Fortnite Monopoly but also likes themed Risk sets (we have LOTR) and enjoys cludo and game of life.

He would like vbucks but I don't allow any more than the occasional £10 from pocket money from that. An Amazon voucher is always welcome though.
