Friends theme tune holds special memories as I watched it a lot when pregnant and dd used to 'dance' about to it. Big Bang theory - used to sing along with dd and we'd clap at "it all started with a Big Bang. bang!!"
Golden girls I remember singing along with my siblings when we used to watch, also cheers, Bread, happy days, fame, why don't you, blue peter (though more whistled to that one) - here's a blast from the past - airwolf! Fabulous theme tune (had such a crush on him, shame what happened). Rentaghost - yes! Surprised nobody's mentioned Fresh Prince yet! "In west Philadelphia born and raised..." (Written before 1914 post)
"If you have a problem - if no one else can help - and if you can find
them - maybe you can hire: The A-Team." Omg! Flashback to my bro pretending to be Hannibal or face! He was nearer to Murdock with his utter fearlessness (still is!).
I also like "lie to me", "unforgotten" is a good call.
Van der valk - never saw the programme but how many of us learned to play "eye level" on recorder at school? Also true of "the entertainer" - from the sting a pp mentioned.
Mash - the most heartbreaking but worked so well for the show.
Jamie and the magic torch - yep! Also reminds me of quantum leap - fellow quantum leap fans bet you know the intro monologue too! SO annoying this wonderful show isn't available to watch online anywhere, there's a few season 1 episodes on iTunes but that's it!
Wiki'ing writers - the equalizer (loved that show) great theme tune written by stewart copeland 6 degrees of separation - he's Ian copelands brother who Courtney cox once dated.
I like "the who" so of course love the CSI theme tunes.
Mum loves the theme from "wonder years" as it was her era.
But...all that said, my favourite goes back to my weegie roots - Taggart!
