I don't get why people stockpile cleaning stuff! I have 1 bottle Zoflora, 1 bleach , 1 Mr Muscle bathroom cleaner, 1 Mr Muscle window cleaner, 1 bottle of fairy liquid! Would rather have money sitting in my bank instead of my cupboard.

Ahh ok, thank you, I thought she had her own page. I'm not joining that page, I'll just hear about it on here Grin Grin

Boohissmiss · 01/11/2018 14:41

Totally agree missmarples she wants all the adoration and all the money . But when it comes to negativity that is justified she plays the boo hoo I’m someones daughter . Ok love we are all someone’s daughter .

VerbeenaBeeks · 01/11/2018 14:48

Is "boohoo she's someone's daughter" justified negativity comments? You're coming across more and more bitter the more you post.

Boohissmiss · 01/11/2018 14:53

Maybe I am getting more “bitter” the more this goes on and is not addressed.

VerbeenaBeeks · 01/11/2018 15:02

Ah, and we're back to 'tis cos I just so concerned about what's declared."
If you say so. "Try hard funny stories" etc, you're right, it's all the ads you have a problem with, nothing else. Rightio so. Bitter.

Boohissmiss · 01/11/2018 15:05

If worrying about people with mental health issues being taken advantages of makes me bitter. I will wear my bitter badge with pride .

Peaches100 · 01/11/2018 15:15

Verbeena - the rules surrounding gifts. These are the rules from the ASA (the guide has already been posted).

If you are receiving benefits, freebies, free products, free visits, etc?

It is likely to be considered ‘sponsored’ content rather than an ‘ad’ under the CAP Code, so not for the ASA.

But CMA rules apply here, you must make sure content is clearly identifiable as being paid-for. For example, by using the label ‘advertisement feature’ or ‘advertisement promotion’.

Have you read it?

Peaches100 · 01/11/2018 15:23

The CMA are the Competition and Markets Authority, they regulate consumer law.

This is their take on it....

The CMA expects influencers to disclose when they’ve received any form of monetary payment, a loan of a product or service, any incentive and/or commission or have been given the product they’re posting about for free.

It seems pretty clear to me! Surely this is fair to consumers & followers?

Mental health is a huge umbrella though, it actually helps a lot of people. Anxiety, for a start.
It's not possible to help or please all people all of the time, these threads show that.
Should nobody promote anything, ever, just because some might feel triggered or pressured into buying something they might not be able ti afford?
Even when things do get disclosed, these threads show people STILL gripe and complain and still are never happy.
Proud to be bitter? Just... wow, OK. I'll never be in that mindset, so I'll never understand. I'd much rather be proud to be happy to drag others down. I'd rather be proud to want to build others up or be happy for them instead. Each to their own, but it must eat you up from inside to be happily bitter and critical of others.

VerbeenaBeeks · 01/11/2018 15:42

be happy not to drag others down that should read, FFS lol

Boohissmiss · 01/11/2018 15:53

Couldn’t agree more peaches but that won’t get an answer. Much rather call people names and say they don’t drag people down. To try to distract from the actual issues .

VerbeenaBeeks · 01/11/2018 15:58

Yes, yes, distracting from the actual issues. Hmm If you say so.
When the thread isn't about the ad disclosures, it's plain for all to see what it's reallllly all about.

VerbeenaBeeks · 01/11/2018 16:00

"all about the adoration, all about the money"
"boohoo she's someone daughter"
"try hard"

You're clear that it's not really the ads you have a problem with.

WhirlyGigWhirlyGig · 01/11/2018 16:03

Verbeena why are you taking all this so personally? You seem to be on a one woman crusade defending Mrs Hinch and her Army cult like followers to the extreme. Can you not see what some of us can actually see?

Boohissmiss · 01/11/2018 16:03

Again verbeena you appear to not have answered peaches question ?

WhirlyGigWhirlyGig · 01/11/2018 16:04

And I'm assuming you're a woman btw.

Thesearmsofmine · 01/11/2018 16:04

I can understand her being upset about people saying nasty things, I have seen horrible personal things said about her which are uncalled for (but sadly if you post online you will get those kinds of comments) but that doesn’t take away from the fact that she should be declaring things that are sent for free, she should be open about affiliate links and ads. It isn’t something you should pick and choose to do or only do when a brand insists(some are better at this than others) it should be clear every single time. The thing is people would still buy from those links and still watch her because she is the in thing right now but people don’t like feeling that they have been duped, I saw last nights post on that group and it was clear some people felt unhappy about being kept in the dark.

She isn’t alone in not declaring things on Instagram, I have seen others do it too, it’s just her account is relevant right now so she is the one being discussed

VerbeenaBeeks · 01/11/2018 16:06

You seem to be on a one woman crusade defending Mrs Hinch and her Army cult like followers to the extreme

Yeah, that tends to happen on these threads if you don't follow the hive mind and don't want to join in with the bitching (which is there even if you don't want to admit or see that it's there)
It's a thread about Mrs Hinch. So stands to reason people will actually like watch her and not hate watch her as well.

Peaches100 · 01/11/2018 16:07

Verbenna you wrote this,

You don't necessarily have to disclose a gift, it's not as clear cut as "you must declare gifts" that some seem to think it is on here

So I responded with the actual rules.Wink

VerbeenaBeeks · 01/11/2018 16:09

I can understand her being upset about people saying nasty things, I have seen horrible personal things said about her which are uncalled for

You're supposed to suck that up and grow a thicker skin if you put yourself out there, apparently. However personal and nasty it might be.
(Said somewhere, either this thread or one of the others, but too long to scroll back and find.)

Boohissmiss · 01/11/2018 16:16

She had the prefect opportunity to address it today on her long post but she referred to everything else except the affiliate links because she didn’t want to affect the money rolling in .

WhirlyGigWhirlyGig · 01/11/2018 16:30

But you're overinvested and completely ignoring the same question that is repeatedly being asked of you.
Why can you not just answer Peaches question? You've been prompted to do so enough times.
And the new buzz word of hive mind makes me shiver. We are not a 'hive mind', we are individuals who happen to think that ethics and following the rules is ya know, rather important if you're going to put yourself out on the Instagram or any other social media stage.

assumptionsmakeanarseofuandme · 01/11/2018 16:45

you realise that if you don’t like someone or the things that they do... but you continually watch their every move... you’re a closet fan, right?

JessicaPeach · 01/11/2018 16:52

I'm not a closet fan, I've openly said I like her. I'm not here to slag her off! No reason not to follow the rules though.

WhirlyGigWhirlyGig · 01/11/2018 17:09

I too quite like her, she's quite affable and does make me laugh at times with her daftness. I said further up about 5000 comments ago that I wish she'd be more environmentally friendly. I'm following her to see where she goes with all this.
