I don't get why people stockpile cleaning stuff! I have 1 bottle Zoflora, 1 bleach , 1 Mr Muscle bathroom cleaner, 1 Mr Muscle window cleaner, 1 bottle of fairy liquid! Would rather have money sitting in my bank instead of my cupboard.

Maybe she should dress him in a flowery pinny and get him cooking some spag bol instead? Then show us how she cleans her oven afterwards Grin
Then because the cooking is probably a pink job she should go lug some bricks around the back garden or fire up the BBQ for some blue job man cooking lol.

Shitlandpony · 21/10/2018 14:06

I wonder when she signed with gleam? Most of the big accounts are with gleam aren’t they?
I feel like they are taking over the world!

JessicaPeach · 21/10/2018 14:21

I don't think she's that good a fit with the usual gleam crew but guessing they know a money maker when they see kne so have jumped on until the novelty wears off and the money stops coming in. She's probably got a shorter shelf life than most influencers

MaHeidsGouping · 21/10/2018 14:38

So shes got her clothes back then? Her life is becoming scripted like TOWIE.

On her latest story shes created another storage cupboard for cleaning items, there is bloody no need for all the hoarding!

Instacrumb · 21/10/2018 14:44

Seems so staged doesn't it, like his video with him saying Mrs hinch asked me to... why wouldnt he just say sophie and why is he talking to her followers about it? Of course you'd mistake 'garage' for 'clothes bank'

MaHeidsGouping · 21/10/2018 15:05

The only clothes outside the clothes bank too!

finks100 · 21/10/2018 15:44

This week’s top seller....seems to suggest that sales are being made but no #ad mentioned!

VerbeenaBeeks · 21/10/2018 16:14

like his video with him saying Mrs hinch asked me to... why wouldnt he just say sophie and why is he talking to her followers about it?

Because Mrs Hinch is what she's known as? It's like her brand name so it makes sense to use it. That's why he wouldn't just say Sophie.
You see it on Twitter/the FB groups etc. "Mrs Hinch made me do it" etc - it's a hashtag, a type of catchphrase thing.

WhirlyGigWhirlyGig · 21/10/2018 17:10

I tried one of the Hinch fb groups and to be honest, a lot of them weren't very bright, apologies not if that offends anyone.

TOMM is a purposeful cleaning routine and I like that.

I could go out in a real limb and compare Hinch V TOMM as a bit like Brexiteers and remainers Grin

I haven't seen any other cleaning people because I'm a bit crap with instagram and only recently realised it had stories 🙄

Anyway the thing that pisses me off about Hinchers is that they are totally unaware of anything to do with the environment, these people following her are raiding the next generation so we're doomed really.

shakethatass · 21/10/2018 18:10

Oh lord has anyone seen her latest story about cabbages in the grass??
She's trying to create some weird, very unfunny double act with her husband and it's just cringe

Skyejuly · 21/10/2018 18:14

I totally agree Whirly!

ElspethFlashman · 21/10/2018 18:22

Well that'll be the Gleam effect. They'll be advising her on how to grow and expand her brand into more than just cleaning sinks. Bringing other people into it is part of their MO. They encourage a lot of collaborations. Bringing Mr Hinchcliffe or whatever he calls himself into the account more makes sense. They can be a new Terry and June! Hmm

They also will be encouraging her to show her face more. She's a good looker, that's just sound business advice.

Gleam have legendary parties where they gather all their clients and have some big carnival in a marquee and order encourage them to plaster it across their SM. She'll have to attend those.

ElspethFlashman · 21/10/2018 18:27

This is the artist list for gleam:

JessicaPeach · 21/10/2018 18:59

I noticed this weekend there's been a few 'im so down to earth' type comments about loving nandos and the Toby carvery so that's probably the angle they are going to pursue because she's hardly kat farmer with a mop 🤣

Lollypop27 · 21/10/2018 19:08

I’m quite surprised to see the gleam list. I was expecting to see love islanders not Susie Verril and mother pukka! Mrs Hinch isn’t on the list though?

WhirlyGigWhirlyGig · 21/10/2018 19:22

Jessica down to Earth to me means cooking at home and not chomping my way around badly cooked cheap eateries Confused

nipersvest · 21/10/2018 19:32

Am rather proud I didn't know half the people in that Gleam list, I suspect she's not on it as it needs updating, DMBL40's follower numbers are out of date on there.

In the interests of a balanced viewpoint, I have road tested some of Mrs Hinch's advice today. We have an outbreak of a rather nasty strain of conjunctivitis in the house, so I gave 'elbow grease' and Zoflora a go in the kitchen. Elbow grease was good, cleaned the sticky residue off the cooker hood. My biggest concern, is I've had the back door open all afternoon but my eyes were still smarting (I'm not the one with the pink eye either), DH commented on the overpowering Zoflora smell.

Conclusion is, some bits of advice are ok, product recommendations ok but the quantities she's using are just shocking, its choking, even with the door open and I used less than Mrs Hinch does. Her eyeballs must be made of titanium.

MaHeidsGouping · 21/10/2018 19:39

I've got to admit I bought the Dave duster today Blush.

Homeinspo · 21/10/2018 21:03

I just watched her stories and it all seens fake?
The clothes and the cabbage.. the cabbage comment just made her look thick in my opinion.

Just a bit of a one trick pony.

GetYourRocksOff · 21/10/2018 21:16

She's definitely trying to create a persona. I wonder if the cleaning obsession was a ploy too. Let's face another make up or fashion expert would get lost on insta.

nipersvest · 21/10/2018 21:21

I think its all fake. The reason I think its fake is her kitchen. She's cleaning a kitchen that never gets used. She cooked risotto the other day to dispel this, but, she was using garlic from a squeezy tube. She doesn't know how to cook.

Homeinspo · 21/10/2018 22:00

@nipersvest very good point. She has takeaways most evenings too or goes out to eat.

BrashCandicoot · 21/10/2018 22:04

I’m quite new to the Mrs Hinch deal. I’ve followed both her and TOM over the weekend - I think I know whose method is appears realistic for someone who cooks and has DC around.

Hinch will appeal to a different market to TOM(I followed DIYOAB for a while and her decorating style and love of using all the chemicals wouldn’t be out of place there - I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a substantial crossover with “army” members ). As for longevity - she’s 28 and photogenic. Babies (if and when) will be automatic content creators. Imagine the swipe ups when there’s a nursery to be kitted out or baby bottles to buy?

I tried Zoflora today after seeing both TOM and Hinch using it. A capful in a basin of water to soak my cleaning cloths as I wiped down the surfaces. My head still feels a bit funny now Confused

nipersvest · 21/10/2018 22:11

Is she 28? Shock I know this is going to sound a bit rude but I thought she was a lot older than that.

Windbeneathmybingowings · 21/10/2018 23:37

nipersvest I hate to say this and I’d love to be proven wrong but whenever I see a sparkly sparkly kitchen with nothing in it, I always think yep, they eat nothing but nuggets and chips. Washing up; One tray, two plates. Anyone can keep that clean and have time to fuss about with all the other stuff she’s doing.

Cooking from scratch washing up; that’s at least 4 pans every night, 2 baking trays, flour to wipe down etc. Even if it’s a one pot you have to bicarb the thing after.

I noticed that people asked her for the recipe as well. She showed the risotto ingredients, there were about 3.
