So embarrassing.

I have a pair of old red gloves I wear under the fake tan mitt. Tonight I forgot I had thrown my mitt away so decided to apply just wearing the gloves.

Have taken them off to see that my hands are BRIGHT RED.

It won't wash off with soap or washing up liquid.

I need ideas fast please. I'm a normal person with a professional job and this cannot have happened to me Shock

Toothpaste.
Leave it on for about five mins before rinsing.

princesstiasmum · 20/09/2018 22:35

Bleach, rub it in quickly and rinse hands straight away,i do it doesnt do any harm

MammaSchwifty · 20/09/2018 22:37

Spread rice pudding mixed with marmite over it and hold your hands in the air for 25 minutes afterwards. The rice pudding acts as an adhesive matrix for the marmite, which contains enzymes that can break down the pigment molecules. The enzymes are gravity-activated which is why it's necessary to elevate your hands after the application.

holly30 · 20/09/2018 22:38

Toothpaste!

LadyOdd · 20/09/2018 22:40

Soak your hand in sliced lemons and oranges.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 20/09/2018 22:40

how can enzymes be gravity activated?

thisisnotmyname87 · 20/09/2018 22:44

I use a dishwasher tablet to take off fake tan, have you tried that?

If you try either mine or MirriVan's new-fangled method (old wives tales are so underrated), please post a photo so future accidental hand-dye victims can refer to it in their hour of need.

don't use all these chemicals together for pity's sake! if your desperate call in sick - wear gloves or as said use face makeup on hands! Actually the worst thing is red cabbage your hands go blue & it stains your nails & makes it look like you have been grave digging

Wellfuckmeinbothears · 20/09/2018 23:04

Unhelpful but you have lovely hands! I’d say try alcohol hand gel or sugar mixed with head and shoulders.

Sillybilly1234 · 20/09/2018 23:07

Baby oil

ladywithredhands · 20/09/2018 23:16

@Wellfuckmeinbothears I used to be a hand model believe it or not! I fell over and got a lot of scars on my hand which put an end to it. Just as well as there's not much call for hand models with red skin!

Cheap toner. Removes fake tan too and probably not as harsh as nail polish remover.

steff13 · 21/09/2018 02:58

Whitening toothpaste.

GandalfsWrinklyHat · 21/09/2018 03:07

Wash your hands with a soluble aspirin tablet.

Oddcat · 21/09/2018 03:16

This won't help the op but to remove hair dye just use the actual hair dye .( ex hairdresser)
