Just that really.

It’s closer to the shops and it would be handier.

Aibu?

Haha, looking forward to the replies Grin

IWannaSeeHowItEnds · 13/09/2018 14:08

Yes.

Paie · 13/09/2018 14:09

If you don't hold a blue badge and you don't have a child with you, YABU. Those spaces are designed not only for convenience but for safety.

boterbier · 13/09/2018 14:09

Yes.

OurMiracle1106 · 13/09/2018 14:09

Depends.
Do you have a child with you?
Or a disability?

If answer to both is No then yes yabu

DebbysMum · 13/09/2018 14:09

If you have trouble getting around then I think it's fine. If not, it's a bit mean but not against the law.

Buddyelf · 13/09/2018 14:10

my first ever Biscuit

maddiie · 13/09/2018 14:10

Is your username true? If you have a broken ankle and foot I'd do it to be honest. If you can walk? Hmm

Frazzledkate · 13/09/2018 14:12

Ha! This is a windup Grin

Brokenmyankleandfoot · 13/09/2018 14:14

I thought my username would be a clue Hmm

Broken ankle and foot. Not allowed to weight bear on that leg and my other knee is popping out.

I have to get to the doc and the parking nearest the door is by the shops and either disabled (I don’t have a blue badge) or parent and child.

Broken your ankle and foot? Then no ywnbu to use a p&c space.

user139328237 · 13/09/2018 14:15

If you've actually broken your foot I can't see how it would be safe to drive so in that case the question is irrelevant.

WhatIsThisTomfoolery · 13/09/2018 14:16

Just use it

Those spaces aren't protected like disabled spaces are

Brokenmyankleandfoot · 13/09/2018 14:17

I drive an auto and it’s my left foot so I’m technically allowed to drive.

But I’m getting a lift to the doctor.

I can’t stand. I have crutches and a frame. I can’t walk any distance even with crutches or frame. I can’t stand or my other knee pops out.

I’m going to do it anyway, was just interested in how much I’d get judged for it.

Ok, going to bite Grin

Surely you are not driving then and it's someone else who is parking?

They can drop you off and pick you up from right outside the surgery...

SuckOnTHATRyan · 13/09/2018 14:19

You would not get judged for that. Unless the person judging was seriously unhinged. I can’t see any sensible person reprimanding someone who is clearly unable to walk, because they use a p&c space.

user139328237 · 13/09/2018 14:19

Surely the best solution is to be dropped off by the door in that situation with whoever's driving then parking in a normal space. You are not safe to be personally driving if one leg is completely unable to weight bare and the other is suffering from substantial difficulties as a result.

Foodylicious · 13/09/2018 14:19

Just seen your update

ThreeAnkleBiters · 13/09/2018 14:20

Sounds like a stupid thread designed to cause arguments.

The answer is obvious legally you can park there whatever your reasons and nobody will take action

Morally if you have no particular need for the space (e.g. difficulty getting in and out of the car or you actually have a baby in a car seat) then no you should just park somewhere else. It doesn't really require debate does it.

Brokenmyankleandfoot · 13/09/2018 14:20

I can’t stand. So I can’t wait outside the surgery for the person and there isn’t anywhere for them to stop right outside the door it’s hatched.

GreasyHairDoNotCare · 13/09/2018 14:20

Parking space privileges because you failed to use adequate contraception is a joke.

You do realise not all pregnancies are a result of inadequate contraception? You know, people actually want to have children.**

ThreeAnkleBiters · 13/09/2018 14:21

OP having read your update no you have a need for the space so I wouldn't judge you for using it.

Brokenmyankleandfoot · 13/09/2018 14:21

I would get dropped off, but I can’t stand at the door for the person to come back and get me. I also need them to help me open the doors to get in to the surgery so I can’t get In to the docs without help. The doors aren’t automatic opening.

How inane. I'm kind of embarrassed for you.
