That last opinion piece in The Hill about 45 potentially refusing to accept the election result...

That's when all the orange one had at stake was ego.

What's really terrifying is the Mugabe situation.

Mugabe couldn't afford to lose an election, because he feared he would be prosecuted when he was no longer president. He actually had nothing to lose in rigging elections, because the crimes for which he might be indicted if he lost were so much worse.

Indeed.

'Sources tell ABC News that Mueller’s office is seeking cooperation from Manafort for information related to President Donald Trump and the 2016 campaign. Manafort, however, is resisting and his team is pushing prosecutors for a plea agreement that does not include cooperation, at least as related to the president, sources said.'

He won't necessarily know what info MrM's team are sitting on, though?

Poll: More voters trust media to tell the truth than Trump

More American voters trust the media to tell the truth about important issues than President Trump, according to a new Quinnipiac poll released Wednesday.

About 54 percent of voters trust the media compared with 30 percent who trust the president, a new low for him in the poll.

Additionally, 69 percent of voters say the media is an important part of a democracy, while 21 percent say it is the enemy of the people, a common phrase the president uses to describe the media.

I wonder how those results tie in with actual voting? (They seem, in any case, to be sharply divided along party lines.)

This is a bizarre tale from Woodward’s book about Australia’s Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and Trump. When at the G20 in Hamburg, he invited Turnbull into the SCIF - a “Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility”. These facilities handle sensitive and classified information and only security-cleared people can enter. Since he had done this, the SCIF had to be completely dismantled.

'"Fear" came out on Tuesday. And it is already one of the top selling books of the year -- not just on the politics shelf of the bookstore, but in the entire store.

On Wednesday, Barnes & Noble said "Fear" has had the "fastest sales for an adult title since Harper Lee's 'Go Set a Watchman' was released in July 2015."'
