To ask you about thick tights

What tights do I need to get that will not go see through at the top like these ones in the picture? I'm needing size 20 also. Leggings frowned upon in my industry.

Snag Tights are bloody amazing and I say that as a regular poster and definitely not a paid ad! They're so comfy and great quality and they FIT.

MrsStrowman · 03/09/2018 23:34

@Land0r I love woolly tights Primark have them in the adult section but maybe not just yet. I'm 5'8 and usually a 10-12 a small fits but I prefer a medium for a bit of extra length

MrsStrowman · 03/09/2018 23:34

@peachgreen do they do maternity tights? I'm six and a half months pregnant and could do with some good opaque tights for work to get me through to December

EBearhug · 03/09/2018 23:38

I'm size 22, and M&S is where I go for tights which fit and don't end up rolling themselves down to the top of my thighs. (That made a funeral memorable...)

RavenLG · 03/09/2018 23:39

I usually get Primark ones I dunno what denier but xl (packet is purple, I think 120denier) I’m a size 22 and they fit me no bother. They are footed though? Are you looking for footless specifically? I think they also do footless but I’m failing to see the difference between thick footless tights and leggings tbh.

As PP said legging and ankle books look like tights

HugeAckmansWife · 03/09/2018 23:40

For the snag tights, if I'm a 14-16 would it be better to order the 12-14 or 16-18? Why don't they do a 14-16??

DSHathawayGivesMeFannyGallops · 03/09/2018 23:49

M&S body sensor tights, high denier but stop you boiling in hot class rooms. They work for me 3/4 seasons and are pretty impervious to ladders. I get through more pairs due to my inner thighs apparently being made of corrugated iron than due to anything else.

Ollivander84 · 04/09/2018 00:01

Huge - I would drop them a message and ask, they're really helpful
I had a pair that laddered and they sent me a replacement in the original size and a free pair in a different size to try
I'm 5ft 10 and found going up a size was better for me, the size I should be fitted but up a size was roomier and they still didn't fall down

So yes, snag tights!

peachgreen · 04/09/2018 06:20

@MrsStrowman They don't but I reckon if you sized up you'd be fine - that's what I did during my pregnancy.

peachgreen · 04/09/2018 06:22

@HugeAckmansWife Personally I'd size up but I like my tights high waisted and roomy! Their customer service is brill so definitely email and ask.

Tomorrowisanewday · 04/09/2018 07:52

I've always worn M&S , usually 100 denier. I recently had to buy an emergency pair, and only had Sainsburys nearby. They are excellent. Slightly longer in the leg than M&S, which does away with the crotch disappearing half way to your knees.
