To need help with a sore bottom

itssosore · 26/08/2018 15:28

Please help me
My bottom has been getting progressively more stingy for the last few days.
Around my back part. It feels like a cut
I can't see anything on it.
I've had a bit of an odd tummy for around 2 weeks now. Do you think it's a bit acidic and burnt?
Should I go to the doc?

Do you have any sudo creme or nappy type cream. This is usually the first thing we try for any sore parts in our house as it's soothing , antiseptic and waterproof. My youngest dd is 16 and we still keep some in the cabinet for such occasions.

humblesims · 26/08/2018 15:33

Its probably a fissure. Agree with Sudocreme. If it doesnt clear up go and see the GP. Yes they will want to look but dont worry its v. common.

itssosore · 26/08/2018 15:34

Should I try metonium? You know the nappy rash one?
My son has some

itssosore · 26/08/2018 15:35

I can show them I'm just fed up of having health complications
Should I avoid any sort of intimate contact that way?

OP posts:
molehill79 · 26/08/2018 15:36

If you're using scented pads, stop!

Hawkmoth · 26/08/2018 15:42

Should I avoid any sort of intimate contact that way?

Er... yes.

itssosore · 26/08/2018 15:44

Not using scented pads
Oh god that came out wrong I meant should I avoid having sex basically because of my sore bit!

OP posts:
Hawkmoth · 26/08/2018 15:45

:D

If you do, just get it dry afterwards.

Singlenotsingle · 26/08/2018 15:46

Depends which bit of your body you want to involve Confused

BlackStoneCherie · 26/08/2018 15:47

Wash with cool water then allow to dry thoroughly before applying sudocreme.

....and yep - avoid the intimate stuff for now as it will probably only aggravate things.

itssosore · 26/08/2018 16:03

I don't have anal sex!
No offence to those who do but I don't want to!! Ahhhh I'm embarrassed

OP posts:
stillnotTheDoctor · 26/08/2018 16:04

Lol op. Yes the mela whatsit stuff should work.

stillnotTheDoctor · 26/08/2018 16:04

Metonium 🤦🏻‍♀️

Slartybartfast · 26/08/2018 16:05

pad your bottom dry after a bowel movement. careful what you eat doesnt jag you on the way out, nuts for example.

Slartybartfast · 26/08/2018 16:05

pat dry

Justsaynonow · 26/08/2018 16:07

Do you have a sitz bath? Add some salt to the water. After soaking, gently dry and apply cream.

And another recommendation to avoid sex for now.

If gets worse, or doesn't improve in a few days, see GP.

UpstartCrow · 26/08/2018 16:07

Wash and dry first otherwise you just seal in the acid. Personally, I'd get to a chemist and get some Anusol. Then keep that in the fridge.

PaulRuddislush · 26/08/2018 16:10

Agree it sounds like an anal fissure, they're very painful. Anusol is a good bet.

onetimeposter · 26/08/2018 16:16

Anal sex dows damage the anus though. I had what you describe numerous times but now have constant pain.

itssosore · 26/08/2018 16:16

I haven't been having anal sex!!

OP posts:
itssosore · 26/08/2018 16:17

I've got anusol I'll use that as well
Should I wash of the sudocreme?
My husband is gloating as he said it was a fissure like 2 days ago. But it's gotten worse.
I've not been constipated :(

OP posts:
UterusUterusGhali · 26/08/2018 16:22

I've got one at the mo I think.
It's exquisitely painful, isn't it?
Mine I think is the result of a Crohn's flare, so similar to yours. Lots of loose stools and wiping. :(

I've been using savlon and parting some medicated talk on in the mornings to keep it dry. Showering as often as possible after every BM. It seems to be improving. I couldn't pass urine without yelping last week.

Do you have an idea what might be causing your bad tummy?

BlackStoneCherie · 26/08/2018 16:22

I haven't been having anal sex!!

I don't think that anyone has suggested you have. It's just that during sex there's a lot of tiny movement goes on, in areas that you don't expect or notice it, until later when the damage is done.

So be kind to yourself and give the skin as much rest as possible - loose clothing, no sex.

megletthesecond · 26/08/2018 16:24

IBS can give you a fissure.

Eryngium · 26/08/2018 16:25

Prolonged diarrhoea can cause fissures too.

If you've had a dodgy stomach for a couple of weeks I'd be going to the GP anyway. That's longer than a bug or food issue should last, and at the point where you're advised to get it checked out.

The fissure will struggle to heal if the cause of it is ongoing still.
