I imagine it's a snub. It wasn't a death which was unexpected so even in the (unlikely) event of nobody remembering, there would have been opportunities for questions to have been asked.

It’s a snub Lweji. The half staff ‘rules’ are pretty common knowledge. In fact, I’d suspect that it would normally be lowered without staff even thinking they needed to ask. It would be considered simply protocol. IMO, they have specifically been told NOT to lower it.

What a small man. A small, small man. And the fact that the GOP senators aren’t raising a stink about it speaks volumes.
