Finished all 8 series of House last night and feeling a little depressed about it.

Anyone else feel like this when you finish a long running show?

If so, what series made you feel like that?

I'll be devastated when This Is Us ends. Easily the best hour of my week Blush

Spanglylycra · 23/08/2018 21:54

The end of Homeland breaks me every time!

Breaking Bad I was mourning for.

Just finished Handmaid's Tale season 2 and am at a loss!

Finished Grimm last year, and then started with Preacher, but restated Grimm all over again and have left Preacher, Supernatural, and Glow. Really miss the dynamic of favourite characters

HermioneWeasley · 23/08/2018 22:02

The Bridge

I miss Saga. I physically miss her.

Willow2017 · 23/08/2018 22:03

I am bereft when TWD series finishes. Often we watch past series just to fill up the void😀

Very annoyed its not on till october this year.

KlutzyDraconequus · 23/08/2018 22:12

Perfectly normal.

Before "Netflix binge" was a buzzword I collected DVDs.
One of my favourites was Due South. When i got through all those and knew there wouldn't be more it felt like i was grieving..

Whatuip · 23/08/2018 22:26

When the Gogglebox series comes to an end. I sewed it gets me through the week! Blush

Whatuip · 23/08/2018 22:26

*swear now sewed!

Liskee · 23/08/2018 22:27

@Aprilshowersinaugust watch it! It's amazing and you might get a wee surprise along the way GrinGrin

DingDongDenny · 23/08/2018 22:38

Another Firefly vote - the best series ever - the end!

Spanglylycra · 23/08/2018 22:42

Just binge watched Gavin and Stacey too as it was all we could find on holiday last week - that needs to come back!

WTFdidwedo · 23/08/2018 22:46

Yes, although not recently. For me it's been The OC, The L Word, Friends and The Mentalist! And Sons of Anarchy was tough.

mummy2oneandtwo · 23/08/2018 22:47

Just finished the last ever episode of Nashville and feel gutted it's over 😩

Orchiddingme · 23/08/2018 22:48

Are you all getting DVDs/box sets of Boardwalk Empire, The Bridge?

I have Amazon Prime and Netflix and can't find anything really good on either, having just finished OITNB.

GarethSouthgatesWaistcoat · 23/08/2018 22:48

Six Feet Under Shock

MissConductUS · 23/08/2018 23:14

Firefly was awesome. There's a sequel movie you can watch on netflix. I can't understand why it was canceled after one series.

Matilda15 · 23/08/2018 23:19

I felt sad when DP and I finished House and Suits. It’s great when you get into something and there’s loads of series to watch.

Am taking note of some others on here as we are looking for our next box set now!

ElspethTascioni · 23/08/2018 23:23

Not normally, but when thI Good Wife finished I was bereft! I missed Alicia for ages...Blush

Rebecca36 · 24/08/2018 04:25

I watched both series of The Crown on Netflix and felt quite bereft when I finished. It will be such a long time before series 3 comes out.

Liskee · 28/08/2018 11:04

Just thought I'd add that I this very minute I am experiencing the bereftness! Just finished watching The Leftovers (binge watched season 3) and I am in bits and feel empty. And want it to start all over again...Sad

Thundercracker · 28/08/2018 11:18

West Wing fans - download the West Wing Weekly podcast (even if you're not watching along with them you'll remember it) and relive it.

Drivemecrazy1974 · 28/08/2018 11:21

Yes, I feel gutted every time I watch the last episode of Ashes to Ashes (we watch Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes every December leading into January - it's become a tradition). I know I am going to be sad when The Big Bang Theory ends, I was sad about Parks and Recreation and even How I Met Your Mother.
I think, for me at least, it's because we watch these shows through good times and bad and they remind us that every thing has to come to an end - I hate that! Still doesn't stop me watching them again though and still feeling as gutted when it comes to an end again!

fieryginger · 28/08/2018 11:34

I'm watching my 4 wives at the moment, just coming to the catfish bit, I'm gonna feel the same way when it finishes. Yanbu.

echt · 28/08/2018 12:08

The howls of anguish could have been heard in outer space.
