Thinking of turning down DH suggestion

It’s our tenth wedding anniversary next week and DH has suggested I wear my wedding dress for a celebration meal - at home. Nice idea but I’m not sure. He had a real problem getting me out of the dress after our wedding and I suspect I’ve put a bit of weight on since then. The dress has to come off over my head so there’s a fair chance I’m going to finish up totally stuck. Could be fun.but could be embarrassing.

That's ok pictish. It was my wedding anniversary yesterday actually, I was married -gulp-, 30 years ago, and the thought of trying to get into my wedding dress is laughable. and my dh would need to have a death wish to suggest it

You'd look like mother of the bride...

Typical bitchy MN thing to say, with the sour emoticon to match.

I gave it as an example because plenty of people have a civil ceremony and chose not to get married in a big white dress, but choose a different outfit. Or if you've been widowed like I was and chose a different outfit for DH. I certainly didn't feel or look like the Mother of the Bride ffs.
