I’m in Italy. Not been on a package in years. Style and beauty would fall over in horror at the dinner outfits but I’m trying to keep the style stakes up by wearing eyeliner....
But- i wasn’t expecting to drink out of plastic cups. Is this normal? Can only get a drink at one bar or in the restaurant and outside of the restaurant it is plastic tumblers like I’m camping. V weird. Or is it?

Sorrento.

I imagine all inclusive means wristbands, like swimming pools in the UK, and queuing for bad cafeteria food. Not my idea of fun, at all.
Never actually been to one, but friends and family have and this was their experience.
I wouldn’t even like to share a pool, and I wouldn’t like to have the meals dictated, and my husband wouldn’t eat buffet food, so not for us

GlisteningRipeElderberries · 18/08/2018 21:51

If you have food choice, that doesn’t saiund so bad, but I don’t like being with lots of people, so don’t really like holiday hotels

GlisteningRipeElderberries · 18/08/2018 21:51

Sound so bad

RedHelenB · 18/08/2018 21:52

No queuing where we are but we do have a wristband. Although ds came off.

There are a million different types of AI depending on where you go and how much you pay - you really can’t generalise.

We’ve been to a mega-resort hotel in Egypt where it’s all queuing for cafeteria food and wristbands and sun beds at dawn.

We’ve also been to a beautiful St Lucia AI with 4 a la Carte restaurants (unlimited bookings),Caribbean themed nights, adults-only a la carte breakfast and tea/coffee/cake on tap - as well as the usual buffet which was a very high standard. All cocktails and top shelf spirits were included (they even had a special rum bar 😊) and we didn’t pay that much more did the Caribbean resort than we did for the Spanish one.

MindatWork · 18/08/2018 23:10

Egyptian I mean! Don’t know where Spanish came from 😑

My attention is now focused on my mosquito bites now. Itchy as chuff and so big the pharmacist took a sharp intake of breath!
