Burke, might just have chosen 'fulsomely', in that lawyerly way, with a care to its double meaning (for Oafsplaining). Combining fulsome with honest suggests (to me) expansive abundance of detail. How could McGhan have been honest if his testimony had been 'complimentary or flattering to an excessive degree'?

A friend suggests I understood Bill Burck too literally because I did not read him literally enough. What if he knew what he was doing when he seemed to mis-use the word "fulsomely?" What if this account of McGahn's testimony is "excessively complimentary or flattering" to Trump?

'Fulsome' was one of the words that most people looked up just after the Yates testimony.

I'm saddened that more people didn't know its meaning and potential use.
