I just want to rip off all the dead and hard skin.

They HURT. Constantly split and about an inch thick of dead skin on my heel.

Nothing gets rid of it :(

Flexitol is about the only thing that takes the edge off the dry skin

I just want to peel off my heels! 😆😆😆

I have psoriasis on my feet which gives me zombie feet (ds’s description). Would a podiatrist help?

SilverHairedCat · 14/08/2018 22:40

DON'T USE A CALLOUS KNIFE OR RAZOR, GO TO A PROFESSIONAL!! You'll only cut your foot to shreds. Mental.

Fozzleyplum · 14/08/2018 22:43

I would see a podiatrist as you say that your feet are in a state. Thereafter, I can recommend regular use of a Diamancel foot file and a foot cream containing urea. The Diamancel gets the dead skin off in clouds-it's very satisfying! If mine get out of hand, I use a callous knife ( very carefully- if you get too enthusiastic you can cut yourself).

trampolinemum · 14/08/2018 22:44

Librex foot peeler or if you can find it footcuddler. As sold on Amazon. Its currently doing a magnificent job of my hooves that have spent the summer in a pair of birkenstocks. Gross while it is working but the after effects are superb.

If the cracks are deep though you may need more than one round of it to bring them to the surface.

Go to a chiropodist for hard skin removal.
Then maintain afterwards with regular normal pedicures with a beauty therapist plus use a urea moisture cream daily.

stripeytshirt77 · 14/08/2018 22:46

Vaseline, Vaseline, Vaseline! And and old pair of socks.

SerendipityFelix · 14/08/2018 22:54

I seventeenth going to see a podiatrist(/chiropodist, same thing). These are your feet! You see a dentist for your teeth, optician for your eyes, your feet are just as important, you use them all day every day. Take care of them and see the right specialist.

High urea foot creams are also amazing, but podiatrist first, then they can recommend individualised home treatment. You may well have a chronic fungal infection that won’t be helping.

Travelledtheworld · 14/08/2018 22:55

See the chiropodist.
Then invest in a diamond foot file, a Boots brand callous knife and some foot cream.

fuckthisforfun · 14/08/2018 22:56

Get a podiatrist/chiropodist to sort it first of all then treat yourself to the Margaret Dabbs foot file, it is amazing.

My feet are baby soft, I only have to use it intermittently now. Use it along side the flexitol foot cream, brilliant transformation.

Missingstreetlife · 14/08/2018 22:56

My feet were like this from a fungal infection. Chiropodist good idea.
If not itchy or red, it may not be possible but walking barefoot on sand will help. Don't go chopping your feet with sharp implements

Ansumpasty · 14/08/2018 22:59

Ouch, do not do that!

There’s a foot cream that’s meant to be amazing-Working Feet or something like that? It’s in a green tub and made by the same company who make Working Hands. If it’s sore, though, I agree with the other posters and would go and see a chiropodist

cricketmum84 · 14/08/2018 23:01

@ReservoirDogs I want one of those but doesn't it just send bits of foot flying around the room???

Vitalogy · 14/08/2018 23:09

I've just had a good session with this tool, brilliant!

I used footner on mine then took a dremel with a sanding attachment to them when it was down enough I started applying lots of moisturizer. Seems to work.

titsbumfannythelot · 15/08/2018 06:36

Have you considered using soap rather than shower gel? My feet are softer since starting to use soap.

Hidillyho · 15/08/2018 06:39

Footner. But do not use it if you have cuts in your feet. You need to let the heal first.
Then soak the hell out of your feet. I didn’t think it was working on me and I went swimming. It was both gross and magical

Hidillyho · 15/08/2018 06:41

I started applying lots of moisturizer. Seems to work
Did you use moisturiser before all the peeling had stopped with Footner? I didn’t think you were supposed to? I’ll try it if it works though

ivykaty44 · 15/08/2018 06:47

Get a footfile from body shop or boots and file the hard skin every night. Then get cream, plenty of cream and cover your feet in it - then stick your feet in plastic bags and go to bed, repeat, repeat, repeat

Oblomov18 · 15/08/2018 07:08

I want to buy one of those blades/potato peeler looking things that they use when you go to a nail bar got a pedicure.

NicoAndTheNiners · 15/08/2018 07:10

I’ve been using flexitol, footwear and filing and mine is still bad. Going to book a chiropodist I reckon.

Bossyboots88 · 15/08/2018 07:14

You can get some special peeling socks from ebay for around £3. You wear them overnight and wash the residue off the next morning. Within a few days all the hard skin on your feet just peels off. They're absolutely brilliant. And hugely satisfying 😁

PoppyPlum · 15/08/2018 07:23

My beautician recommended coconut oil based cream, and then socks. Works very well for me.

Headinthedrawer · 15/08/2018 07:32

I use a rechargeable foot file £13 from Amazon and then a love pumice daily in the shower also off Amazon.Had awful feet...now they are lovely.Footner is good too...but keep it on for 2 hours and don't peel your feet! Then use a good pumice stone daily in the shower for a couple of minutes after the footer has worked it's magic.
