Great grandmother's dresses. Some of them went to a museum. The rest are not museum quality but still of interest. I'm looking for a good home. Can supply pics.

Thanks everyone for your interest! I have been overwhelmed with PMs for the aqua sleeveless dress and the emerald green dress. I have already done a lucky dip for those two and contacted the winning posters.

The following still need to find homes:

• 1. black, elaborate satin skirt and jacket with lace and jet trimmings.
• 2. black grosgrain skirt with jet trimming. Grosgrain jacket with black lace trimming.
• 3. Small taffeta brown checked jacket with fringe buttons and trimming.
• 4. 1 heavy black quilted skirt.
• 5. Black Velvet Jacket with feather trimming and leg o'mutton sleeves
• 6. 1 unlined grosgrain jacket
• 7. 1 grosgrain black jacket with jet trim on the back.
• 8. 2 small black jackets silk, unlined. One with lace trim one with brocade sleeves.
• 9. 1 pink silk skirt( unfinished,- no waistband, top has hand made holes for lacing and shows boning.)
• 10, White cotton summer dress with slight train (some small iron mould stains)
• 11. 2 white cotton underskirts

If you cannot find homes for them all, could you not take them to your nearest auctioneers and put them in the next textile sale?

Oh OP are you absolutely sure you don’t want to keep them? They are so lovely.

I’m sure you’re already very sure, but it was just what came to my mind! You’re very generous to give them away.

Have you considered donating them to a university for fashion design students to study?

OP, it's very kind to give them away when you could obviously make some money out of them. Sadly, I wouldn't have a use for them, but I have really enjoyed seeing the pictures. I hope the lucky recipients enjoy them!🙂
