When I was a kid, Mr Data in Next Generation So much did I not fancy the actor in real life I don't even remember his name! So disappointing as time went on and he got jowlier and pore-ier and more and more obviously not an immortal robot... sigh

Oh another really strange one is Gary Oldman in Dracula.....
He looks completely ridiculous at all points in that film.... but honestly is also just really sexy at all points.... even when hes in that weird costume that makes him look like a 90 year old geisha

Definitely get this. I used to like him irl too until my Sil started gushing about how much my DB looked like him (vom) he doesn't, but I can't look at Oldman without thinking it now.

I started fancying Professor Snape in the HP films once I read the last book and found out why he'd always been such a dick to HP.

Kili is nothing in comparison to Thorin, nothing, I tell you. Though nothing beats Aidan Turner as Mitchell in the first season of Being Human, the archetypal tortured vampire.

So glad other people have mentioned Robert Carlyle as Rumple/Mr Gold. I thought it was just me!
