Going against the grain here but I like it and I'm only in my 40's - the cream cable bit throws me back to some of my 90's wardrobe though!

It is of course cheap acrylic, but I would wear it ifiwearnotthesizeofanelephant

It's ultra boring

People who are criticising it for being acrylic and saying get beautiful wool, some of us can't wear wool (or cashmere) and find it unbearably itchy. I never buy wool for myself or my daughter as we both find it uncomfortable. I prefer cotton or a decent quality soft acrylic. My late MIL was the same - could never buy her wool or anything itchy.

Having said all that I'm not that keen on this particular jumper

It's hideous! The white bit under the neck looks like a bib. Also it's sweaty synthetic.
I'd only give a jumper gift if it's something special and luxurious like cashmere or high quality wool.

My mother is nearly 90, she would probably strangle you if you gave her something like that. It is vile.

Why acrylic versus wool? Cotton is your friend! Cool and totally non-itchy. (But nigh on impossible to find these days).

Well obv cotton instead of wool or cashmere if those make you itch.

Just that the talk of Christmas made me imagine a jumper for cold weather. Cotton is not that.

It's vile... And an odd colour... Unless the recipient was very keen on colour or design or material would I buy it...

It looks as if made in the 1980s.
