And whether you think it would be a nice Christmas present?

(yes, I'm starting very early, but you have to if you want the best bargains)!

...and you don't deserve anything nice.

pennycarbonara · 05/08/2018 10:49

Bluelady I did say 'if'. For both my grandmothers this was a consideration at 90 (although not at 85). I wouldn't have said that if it was for someone in their 70s but in their 90s seems sensible in case someone hadn't taken it into account.

Bluelady · 05/08/2018 10:51

Maybe everyone should be issued with a pelican bib on their 90th birthday.

PeckhamPauline · 05/08/2018 10:51

I love it in the first photo, but not so much on the model.

I think it's one of those garments that looks best on a hanger!

TheEmojiFormerlyKnownAsPrince · 05/08/2018 10:51

That is one nasty jumper. Yuk. So unflattering🤮

LynetteScavo · 05/08/2018 10:53

I wouldn't wear it.

PineapplePen07 · 05/08/2018 10:53

No sorry op it's not nice and I can't imagine it suiting anyone tbh.

FannyCornforth · 05/08/2018 10:54

Who designs this rubbish?

NoNoCharlieRascal · 05/08/2018 10:56

The link won't work for me, can someone post a pic please?

yaria · 05/08/2018 11:03

I'd disown or unfriend you if u bought me that Confused

zen1 · 05/08/2018 11:04

I don’t know who DP are trying to cater for these days. In the mid 80s, it was considered quite a trendy shop for young teens.

PasstheStarmix · 05/08/2018 11:05

I’m sorry op I don’t like it for any age. I think there’s nicer jumpers out there.

PattiStanger · 05/08/2018 11:08

Aren't there topics for Christmas and do you like things?

At least keep Christmas crap off the main boards in August Grin

pennycarbonara · 05/08/2018 11:13

Yes, there is a Christmas board.

If I was buying a jumper for someone in their 90s the first place I would be looking would be Edinburgh Woollen Mill, not Dorothy Perkins.

Oysterbabe · 05/08/2018 11:17

Don't be duped into buying any old shit because it's in the sale.

RoseWhiteTips · 05/08/2018 11:19

A 90 year old wearing something from that horrible shop? Why not buy something she deserves like lovely warm wool or similar?

Runrunrudolf · 05/08/2018 11:20

Definitely depends who it's for, the MIL would probably love it however my mum would scream and run or just sit there giving me a death glare all day even while I cook

It's not my most favorite but it might be to spend tastes,
Definitely considering getting it for the MIL Grin

PolkerrisBeach · 05/08/2018 11:21

Cheap, nasty acrylic. Horrid. Irrespective of age.

Knittedfairies · 05/08/2018 11:21

It’s on the horrid side of meh...

LittleMermaidRose · 05/08/2018 11:22

Well I'm definitely in the minority here, but I like it, I would wear it, and I'm in my mid 20's haha

FannyCornforth · 05/08/2018 11:23

fifififififi, are you going to buy the jumper?

EsmereldaPepperpot · 05/08/2018 11:24

I would try and buy a more breathable fabric like wool for someone that old as temperature regulation is a problem for the very old quite often.

pictish · 05/08/2018 11:30

It’s foul. It’s a horrible design in a horrible colour. If I was 90 I wouldn’t use it to mop up a spill. That’s me though.

Lindalee3 · 05/08/2018 11:31

Ewww it's ugly. Sorry OP.
