To ask you what I can do with a massive joint of gammon?

I got sucked into the excitement of Costco, and bought an enormous gammon joint. We don’t even eat gammon that often.

It’s been in the freezer for a month as I’ve no idea what to do with it. It’s too big to fit in the slow cooker which is frustrating as that would have been my go to! DH’s grandparents are coming for dinner next weekend, so thinking of finally using it. However I don’t want to just chuck it in the oven on it’s own and cook it dry. Anyone have any lovely recipe suggestions?

If you want to go posh, do it in tea! Is amazing, I promise. Google 'ham in earl grey' or similar. I once found a recipe where you then used creme fraiche in the cooking liquid at the end and it made a really nice creamy sauce for the ham.

Then, yes, as PPs have said, look up things to do with leftover ham. Will make lots of really nice dinners in potato and pasta dishes, or just cold with stuff.
