You get all sorts on here really. But I do think the nasty, spiteful posters and the ones always looking to take offence have driven away a lot of the interesting, witty, imaginative and clever posters. It used to be more fun on here.

Of all the things on MN, I finding posters starting threads about M&S the oddest - some posters are obsessed with what is just a shop selling clothes that you can easily ignore.

The empty-headed don't have a care in the world.

And don't usually contribute much to a thread apart from trite memes.....

I get along by assuming that 90% of people on here are lying "Billy 2 Shits" who come on to massage their own egos or because they're honestly too stupid to work things out in their head & have to ask someone....

9% are here to visit the Zoo & knock on the glass to wind the denizens up (that's me!!).

And the last 1% are valuable and wise contributors, treasure them if you can find them!!

I find all kinds of stuff on MN amusing and ridiculous too.

It can vary so much on here. Sometimes I've been challenged and changed my mind, so can be useful.

Would agree that there are some nasty gits sometimes, just here for the hate. But, that's like everywhere....

Because MN (like many other places) moderates and encourages members to stick to a broadly left wing liberal ethos in the hope that posters will believe that these are not only normal, popular, common and mainstream views, but that they will also believe that they are the correct ones to have which provide social cachet and try to emulate them. HTH.
