AIBU to ask if you've been on holiday to Bali...where you went?

Going to Bali next Easter...hoping for a mix of beach, nature, adventure! Suggestions please! We're not big on busy resorts, so more off-beat stuff would be great.

I love Bali and take the good with the bad. Why not stay somewhere else in Bali for your first trip. Seminyak or Sanur are nicer than Kuta. Maybe spend a couple of nights in Ubud. My love of Bali began with my first trip at the age of 19, I am now 37! We will go 3 times this year, and our children love it just as much as us. I could live there easily a couple of months at a time!!!!

I would recommene Sanur for the beach and Ubud for culture. Yes you fly into Dempasar, the airport is fairly new and has air conditioning. Lots of airlines fly there. Seminyak is also nice a bit more upmarket and hotter than Sanur. I would not recommend Kuta. Sanur has a street the Australians call Eat Street with lots of great places to eat. Your hotel should have air conditioning, it is very humid over there you will get given lots of cold towels! The people are very friendly. Lots of taxis which can be a bit annoying, but you get used to them. Sorry just saw this is an old thread, have you booked?
