Is this a scam ?

Just had this email through. Posting for traffic!

100% total scam.

HMRC never email you like this, they always send you a letter in the post - and will send you a cheque if you are due a refund and they don't already have your bank details (which you can supply if you do a self-assessment tax return online).

The poor grammar is a dead giveaway and when my husband received a refund they just sent it to him, no request for dodgy online forms to be filled out.

It doesn't even have your name on! Of course it's a scam.

Obviously it's a scam - I despair that anyone could think otherwise.

The best thing to do is copy the whole email , that is click on the envelope so that the whole email goes, not just copy/paste, and forward to your IT department as soon as possible.
