NCd for reasons of outage.

I started my new job a week ago- it's s a maternity contract, but I'm hoping something permanent will come up as it's a really good company and they like to hold on to their employees.

I woke up just before 5 this morning feeling dizzy and floppy, and nauseous. As of roughly an hour ago I've vomited a few times. I haven't eaten anything that could have given me food poisoning as far as I'm aware, and I don't think it's heatstroke as we've managed to stay pretty cool at home.

My boss was off yesterday due to food poisoning and will be off today too. Not sure if that's relevant.

I'm not sure what to do now. I still feel dizzy and like I may vomit again, but I really don't want to have to call in sick on my second week. But I have several colleagues with pregnant partners at home and I don't want to pass anything on if it turns out I've caught some sort of bug. Any suggestions?

I'd be really pissed off if the new person at work insisted on coming in and giving everyone else D&V because they were just too important to stay home.

My family have just gotten over this two weeks ago..... my eldest missed his taster day at school :( I was so upset but I knew I couldn't send him for it to spread like wildfire even though he felt fine it hadn't been 48 hours..... hope you stayed off and recovering x
