Aibu to wonder who will apply for tickets to Eugenie’s wedding?

Just seen that there is going to be a ballot to apply for tickets to watch the wedding inside the Windsor Castle grounds like H & M did. But really who would want to go?

Surely it's a great chance to go to a royal wedding and go on the grounds etc so anyone who wants to go to a royal wedding should go

Nice day out in a historic location. See all the wedding outfits. I can think of worse ways to spend a day, if the weather's fine.

Eugenie and Beatrice seem like nice girls and get an unfair amount of shit (they do need a better stylist sometimes, however). It’s not their fault that their father is a twat with an inflated idea of his/their importance to the tax payer!

Loads of people who are into the Royals. They'll get to see a real life princess bride, plus all the rest of the Royal Family will surely be attending.

It's not my cup of tea, but I don't think they'll have any issue drawing the crowds.

I wouldn't, simply because I'm not a big wedding person, can take them or leave them, and prefer to leave them. But I will say that Eugenie has really risen in my estimation and I would go as far to say she is now my favourite royal. She's very down to earth, doesn't blow her own trumpet like some of the others and supports a wide range of charities. I didn't know she has scoliosis, she actually put her x-rays up on her Instagram account the other day. So IF I was minded to go to any RW it would be hers. I'm sure it will be lovely!

Think it's a nice opportunity to be in the grounds for a royal wedding and see her and the dress etc. Nice little day out anyway!

Those that have applied will have a pretty good chance of being successful I think! I think Andrew finds it difficult to accept that he and his girls are on the periphery now and are not needed/important. This feels a bit needy to me

I've applied. I'm a historian specialising in royal history and write about royal weddings alllll the time (I'm currently writing four chapters for an upcoming book about them in fact!) so I thought it might be nice to actually SEE one with my own eyes for once!

I feel a bit for Eugenie - as PP have said, she seems like a nice and fairly private young woman, and this has the distinct tang of a plan pushed forward by her dad, wanting her and Beatrice to be viewed on the same level as William and Harry, (and possibly also her mother, who just wants to be viewed).

Who'd willingly choose to get married in the same venue, with the same key personnel, with the same drive to church, etc, five months after a very close family relative had the biggest wedding of the decade - unless their dad had a big point to prove? I hope HM gives Eugenie a really nice tiara to wear.

Everyone moans about these women purely because they're not that pretty. That's what it boils down to. If they were very attractive they wouldn't get half the criticism they do. For that reason I make a point of liking them. They've never done anything offensive, they just seem normal.

People who take vicarious delight in being able to say they were at a Royal Wedding, or want to be at the venue Harry and Meghan married at. Perhaps those who want to look at Windsor Castle.

I have stayed in Windsor Castle and been to a service there and it is a beautiful place.

Don't they both have jobs too? Even if they are the sort of Sloaney art gallery jobs. There was something recently where one had to step in for her sister at a charity do as she was tied up with work.

Eugenie apparently is living with her fiancé in another of Kensington Palace's old staff cottages. Well, I suppose if my gran could give me a cheap rental place in the centre of London, I wouldn't turn it down.
